When I walked into the store, 2 staff members greeted me immediately and were so warm and friendly. Stefan helped me and he was so kind, knowledgeable and professional. I love my new running shoes and HOKA sandals. They are the perfect fit for my unique feet and so great for running with the body type I have now. Thank you Stefan for your kindness, expertise, experience and running stories! I would highly recommend this store to any of my family and friends and would definitely support again in the future. 5 stars. Highly recommend.

We received great service from Byron and Norm! We came in close to closing and they were more than happy to help my son choose new boots for winter. Another customer came in even after we did and they didn't hesitate to help him out as well! Awesome place to get your new shoes!

When I first got a pair of running shoes at Frontrunners about two years ago, I was quite happy with the assistance I got when picking the right shoes, the brand selection, and the customer service. When it turned out I had the wrong insoles, I first tried Sole, then Currex, and the staff helped me throughout this process. When I came in today, I was surprised by the early closing time I believe the Victoria location closes a bit later, which makes it difficult to get to the store after work. I was also a little taken aback by the dearth of selection both in the store and on the website which, again, seems to be a better situation at the Victoria location. Cindi, with whom I spoke, seemed very knowledgeable; she showed me two New Balance options and two Brooks options and explained the differences between all four to me. However, the brand I was after Hoka didn't have a lot of availability and this is what ultimately cost the store a sale. I have no doubt as to the continued positive and helpful demeanour and attitude of this shop's staff. However, I'd really love to see a change in the operating hours and variety of stock, which would really help me during an already complicated decision process. Despite any criticism, I think anyone interested in running gear should still stop by this store to check out any gear that might not have been right for me but might be just the thing for you.

Best customer service EVER! I ordered a pair of sale-prices Hoka Bondi runners that were listed as “in stock” on the website. Unfortunately, the runners were not in stock so I was offered an upgrade at the same price. Stefan was so sorry about the mix-up and was so kind to good about honoring the price. Also, Stefan gave me a full report on the upgraded runners and how they differed from the ones I had wanted. He guaranteed a good fit with a money-back guarantee. This is the second time purchasing from Frontrunners in Nanaimo and it won’t be my last and I don’t even live there! Thanks Frontrunners. Keep up the awesomeness!

The staff at Frontrunners are so friendly and helpful. I know nothing about running shoes and they were so welcoming and helpful. Stefan explained everything to me and helped me find the perfect shoes, even though it took a long time he was so patient and knowledgeable. The shoes I ended up buying are working so well and have totally eliminated any discomfort I was having before. Next time I need runner this will be my go-to place!
