I am literally lactose intolerant and I risk it all for this place. **Cash only, but they have an ATM** It’s super cute and you cannot beat the price! I believe we only payed $6-7 for each. This is a regular size and it’s SO much ice cream. Even if you get a child size, it’s PACKED. It will melt as soon as you get outside so I always ask for an extra cup. : Staff and service is great!
One of the best ice cream shops you’ll hit here in Minnesota. The best part? The variety of flavors is insane. There are more flavors on the other side by the cash register by the way and they have a few vegan options too. I tried the Brownie S’mores flavor and loved it. You can also choose two options for the cup options. The worst part? Okay, this might not be a bad thing but the amount of ice cream they give you is nuts. I went in planning to get the small size… no need. The child’s size was way plenty because they pile on the ice cream high. The only reason why I didn’t like this was because it dripped on the sides and was kinda hard to put my spoon into so I ended up just taking bites but hey, for the price the amount was generous!
The BEST place for over cream by far. I mean I should have took a picture before I split them. But the portions they have for the cup size kids oh my God. You literally get two flavors I can literally split them in half and share them fed the whole family dessert off three kids cups. And the price is phenomenal thank you Nelson's we will be seeing you again.
My husband is a huge fan of blue moon flavored ice cream and this is one of the few places that consistently has it! The variety of flavors is great, the pricing is good for how much you get and the service was also quick and friendly. Unpopular opinion to the rest, the amount of ice cream is just too much. ‍ We almost immediately had a melted ice cream mess on our hands so definitely needs to be eaten there and not ok the road. Bring somebody to share with and don't forget your cash!
The sizing is huge so you get your bang for your buck. How is there such a thing as too much ice cream?! Of course I understand their sizing is large, so I usually order a kids size and split with 1-2 people. Still makes it so cheap and the ice cream tastes amazing. They have a variety of flavors and I haven't been disappointed by the ones I've tried. Some say the ice cream isn't high quality. Personally I think it's delicious. The perfect place to pick up a summer treat in this heat.
Over the years this place hasn't disappointed me. The ice cream is delicious and not over price, home made and very big servings. Just a suggestion, order the kids sizes, It is enough for two or three people. They have a wide variety of flavors. Friendly staff and very cheap prices. For the kids size $5.50 dls. Before I forget BRING CASH!!! They don't accept credit cards.
I love Nelson's! Not being able to eat the way I did 50 years ago, I have learned that even a child size in a cup is too much for a normal adult. Luckily they give out extra cups, so if you go with someone else with a normal appetite, I recommend 2 people share one cup. The first person's flavor goes on the bottom and fills the cup. The second person's flavor is piled on top of the cup. Put a second cup over the second flavor and "break" the two flavors apart. You will each have plenty of ice cream to enjoy.

I love this ice cream spot this place is way better than many branded ice creams you will have.A must stop.They have good quality and quantity as well for a cheap price.You will be mindblown by the taste of it.Usually is crowded especially during summers.I am not sure if they have too many toppings but definitely you will confused which flavors to choose from as they are all delicious.
Favorite ice cream shop! The servings are absolutely huge, even the child size is quite large! Delicious ice cream, good prices, and friendly staff, Nelson’s is all around amazing
