Natural Mattress

After months of searching for a Canadian-made wooden bed frame that suited my taste and my small space, it was such a relief to work with Andrew at Natural Mattress and Furniture on a custom piece. From start to finish, he kept me updated on design, cost, materials, and timeline. The bed frame is exactly what I wanted, ethically and aesthetically! Worth every penny.

I bought a king size mattress from them. Ordered from Montreal. Outstanding product and service. They saved my back and my health. I had a Logan and cove mattress for a year and it was a complete waste of money. I started having back pain because it started to sink. Also it was super hot to sleep in it. I couldn’t recommend them more. If you are on the fence, go for it. It’s a big investment but 100% worth it. Thank you Andrew.

I was wanting to replace my organic wool futon that I had been using as a couch with something more "grown up", but still chemical free. Well... purchasing a chemical-free couch in Calgary turned out to be next-to-impossible - at least, if you want to spend less than 8k to have one shipped from the USA. So... I started investigating the possibility of having one made. I thought if I could reuse my futon frame, since I had stained it myself and it was solid wood, maybe I could find someone who would work with me to build cushioning for it.... And I did! Mark and Andrew were awesome! They worked with us to figure out what our needs were, and what they could offer, and the result is fantastic. I love our new couch, and I love the fact that it is chemical free - AND COMFORTABLE! I highly recommend Natural Mattress!

We had Natural Mattress make us a large custom mattress 8’ x 8’ and wood platform. From start to finish Andrew made the experience so easy, answering all of my questions and making a great product. Even a few weeks after we had the mattress my partner was finding his side too firm and Andrew helped us rectify the situation with no issues. I love our mattress, the platform is simple and beautiful, and I’m happy that we could support a local maker.

Couldn't be happier with the bed frame that Andrew created for me! It's as much art as it is furniture! He did floating side tables with an awesome headboard and platform frame and knew exactly what I wanted before I did. The bed is all solid wood and is built to last a lifetime. It is also great to know that it was made locally and I was contributing back to the Calgary economy. While it costs more than an Ikea bed, it is worth every single penny.

Hi! I’m from Manitoba... I bought a double mattress, a wool pillow & a latex pillow. I found natural mattress & furniture searching online for a natural fibre mattress... I instantly loved this company’s product & beliefs!!! And they are Canadian I’ve had my mattress for over a year and it’s wonderful.. medium firm but still a softness... it’s clean & smells great... no chemical yuck smell. Mark was very helpful with the challenge of a long distance blind purchase... he was always available by phone to help me decide.. he is very smart about beds & the position we sleep in... I’m a side sleeper. The whole process was very smooth. Thank you Natural Mattress & Furniture I need a real wood bed frame now!! I really really really love my latex pillow!!!! It is so worth very cent I paid for it.... it is the best investment I have ever made for me!!

I highly recommend Natural Mattress. Mark and Andrew are very personable, patient and helpful. My husband and I have needed a new bed for a few years but every time we went to a traditional mattress store we left frustrated. The salesmen were just trying to get us to buy a bed and seem to want to talk us into a bed but not understand our needs. Our time spent at Natural Mattress was different. They understood our need to get an organic, chemical free mattress that had the proper firmness. We tried out their mattress selection and left to think about it and realized Natural Mattress was exactly what we wanted so we returned to purchase one. They also ensure that their customers are happy with their purchase and were very accommodating to my change of mind about the firmness. Happiest mattress purchase ever, found out about Natural Mattress at a pop-up market at the perfect time when we were looking into upgrading our bed. I was happy to be able to find something not full of caustic chemicals and fire-repellent sprays that was also extremely affordable and made with natural materials by two great local guys! We've had our mattress for almost 2 years now and I still sleep soundly on it. I love that you can go in and try them out and it's one on one so it is a lot less awkward then when you go to a large chain mattress store, you don't feel rushed and weird and pressured when trying out beds. We purchased the basic frame to go with the bed and it is gorgeous, it's incredibly easy to take apart and move which I love, and it's just a nice minimalistic wood finish.

We LOVED working with these guys and would highly recommend their products. We purchased our mattress about 4 months ago and haven't had any issues at all. I would even say our quality of sleep and restfulness has improved since making the switch. If you're looking to invest in a new mattress, be sure to check them out.

Most comfortable bed I've ever slept on. I prefer a fairly firm mattress, and was skeptical after sitting on one of Natural Mattress's beds that it wasn't quite firm enough. Mark assured me that as soon as I lay down and curl into a position I actually sleep in, it would be perfect. He was 100% correct and this mattress is, I will state again, the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on. The layers of wool and hemp sleep incredibly cool, and the same goes for their wool pillows. Their customer service is excellent as well! Highly recommend for all of your sleep-related needs.
