It took me a long time to try this restaurant because of the reviews on Google maps. During the pandemic, I tried it as takeout and it became my go-to sushi place. It is not a traditional Japanese restaurant, but it's a great Western Japonese restaurant. Sushi is well prepared and staff is always nice and friendly - at least for takeout order. I ordered sashimi a few times and it was good and fresh. I usually order the Maki for 3 picture 1 or Maki for 4 picture 2.
Good for the price. Nice selection of appetizers though. Have buffet lunch and dinner. Cheaper than 168 sushi. Nara roll and volcano rolls are yummy!
I have been here a few times in the past with great experiences. This place has gone down hill tremendously. The chicken was cold still, the fish not fresh the service was poor. Go somewhere else. We were going to go somewhere else but because we had good experiences in the past 2 years ago we thought this was a good decision. Save yourself the money and take your 75$ date night somewhere else.
This used to be my go to sushi spot. There’s nothing special about the place itself but the food was always great. The last 3 times I’ve been it’s slowly been declining from what looks like new management. Today was the last time I’ll ever go back. The service was so uncomfortable to be around, the place looked dirty and so run down. There was no one else there which now I understand why, and the food was DISGUSTING. Nothing tasted fresh, they didn’t have your “go-to” sushi options, and honestly I’ve felt sick to my stomach since I left. 0/10 do not recommend eating here, unless you feel comfortable eating sub par, not fresh, “who knows what you’re eating” “sushi”.
The portions are way too big, the food was cold and a little bland. There was also loud dance music that didn’t make for a great atmosphere. But the staff were nice. Sorry guys, there’s better sushi places in town for the same price.
I went with 2 other people and we found the service to be appalling. We ordered about 30 items total over the course of 2 hours and we received 10 items total, not at once, not in waves, but about every half hour. Even after notifying the staff and reordering or ordering less so that they could keep up going from 5-7 items an order to 2-4 they still only brought maybe one or two items. All the while, a couple next to us got multiple plates of sushi, left with their plates still full and didnt get charged the extra for leaving behind food. And all while the family behind us had consistent food delivered to them as well as the only other two tables. The restaurant was not particularly busy, as far as seating is concerned either. Once we went to pay we voiced our concerns and not only did they not offer a discount or condolences or anything at all, they decided that at the end of our duration there to notify us that some items were simply unavailable. All things i would have been fine with if they had properly communicated that or if those items that couldn't be served weren't on the menu. All in all, 0 out of 10. I dont fully blame the servers or staff but I went from loving going to naras and recommending it to everyone i know to now. I will never eat here again, nor will I ever recommend it to anyone again. Very disappointing and frankly for 125 dollars extremely upsetting.
Waiter kept getting orders wrong. Didn't bring Wasabi or ginger with our sushi, had to ask twice. Sat for 25 mins before someone came to collect our order. One waiter was on his cell phone and didn't get off until I waved at him. Food items out of stock. Raised the buffet price by $4 but less items on menu and not the greatest customer service. 3 year old ate 2 pieces but still charged $10.
I love the food here! I haven't dined in much, I mostly get takeout. I really like the Tofu Teriyaki and other veggie options like their Yam Tempura veggie sushi roll!Food: 5/5
Always love eating here. Everyone is really nice. They have some of the most delicious rolls in KW. Never disappointed with whatever I've eaten. Vegetarian options: Lots of delicious options, Ginger tempura roll is my favorite!!
The sushi is fresh and delicious and if your not feeling sushi but your friends are there are other delicious options. Great service the staff are very friendly always smiling and helpful
