Really great donburi house in downtown Kitchener. Haven't had a meal I didn't like here yet. I really enjoy their big menu and the amount of choices you can make. Service is good, ambience is exquisite and the food is delicious.
I recently moved to Kitchener. While previously I resided at Mississauga, I had to travel to North York to enjoy Japanese cuisine. I'm glad to find my happy place near home. Yes, the food was amazing and so was the ambience of the restaurant. Arigato Ghozaimasu!!!
My first ever Ramen!!! Love this place right with the first order!! We had never tried Ramen before and were recommended by a very close friend to try this place. Personally, I am a big fan of Japanese culture and wanted to try the cuisine except sushi. We got 3 dishes this weekend, here are the reviews and overall review of this place. Overall - The location is awesome, right at the heart of Kitchener downtown. Easily accessible. They are only open for take out right now. They lost 1 star coz they do not have accessible entrance. The overall food quality is amazing. Definitely 5/5 on the taste, preparation and freshness. The orders were served hot and the packaging was nicely done. They forgot to write name on one of the boxes and we ended up putting it in the wrong dish. Our order- we ordered 3 vegetarian dishes to start with our first order. We are sure we will be a regular here and will be ordering frequently and definitely recommending this place to all our vegetarian and non-vegetarian friends. Yaki Gyoza - 5/5 - Fried Dumplings with rice. This dish is for someone who likes dumplings which are on the sweeter side. The dumplings were well cooked, love the sauce which was sweet but not too sweet. They went well with the plain rice. Tofu Champon - 5/5 - The Veg Ramen!!! We loved it a lot. This was our first time trying Ramen. It was very well made and had great taste. We were not sure about the mixing and our friend mixed it for us. We are definitely having this again. Soy Yakisoba - 4/5 - Deep fried Tofu with Fried noodles. The Tofu very soft and fresh however, it's the Noodles which were amazing. For all those who loves eating noodles this dish is worth a shot! The one star is less since the Tofu was not spicy and they made a packaging error and did not mark one of the boxes with the name of the dish and we ended up putting that into our Ramen. As for the interior, pls see below pictures. The restaurant had amazing interiors and can't wait for them to open so that we can enjoy the food right from the kitchen. This place is definitely worth a try!!!
Very nice interior and welcoming customer service. There are ample parking spaces just behind the restaurant so you can eat peacefully. We took the Nagasaki Champon which had an unforgettable broth - rich yet not too filling. The BBQ pork belly donburi was great too.
Delicious & fresh sushi! Staff is friendly & great! Very informative for those who have dietary restrictions/alternatives. Vegetarian options: Lots of options!! Dietary restrictions: Some staff are knowledgeable of the ingredients. Can recommend which parts of the menu that are gluten free or how they can make an item gluten-free
Delicious food and amazing interior decorations!I got the tonkotsu ramen and the broth was perfect. My friend got the wonton men and the wontons were great. Would definitely come back for more!
Pretty decent ramen, with an interesting ambiance. Looks like a great place to have fun and meet new people. When we are allowed to be social, again... The noodles had a good texture, the broth was great, and the pork had a wonderful smoky aroma, and great texture. Staff was a bit rushed, but very attentive.
Went there once and would definitely go there again. Took the people’s popular Buta Don and their recommended Nagasaki Champon. Both were absolutely delicious but LOVED the Nagasaki Champon. The pork bone broth is hearty, satisfying and rich, yet light. The seafood was fresh. Had no problem finishing the entire bowl. Would definitely recommend it at all times and specially if you are having a fever or cold. Buta Don was on the saucy side a wee bit more than I’d like it. Other than that, it’s really flavourful. It also comes with a bowl of miso soup on the side which is nice. The people were very nice and cordial and the ambience is homey. It’s my new favorite place to go :
Incredibly tasteful Japanese food, Best Japanese food I have had in along time worth trying our server was very kind and helpful.
I loved the interior of the restaurant just as much as the food! Amazing portions for the price and huge variety of Japanese bar eats. Wait time was reasonable during lunch rush but definitely worth it. Highly recommend if you're looking for Japanese food, only a quick min bus ride away from UW.
