They did a great job with my nails, they are pretty much perfect. They were quick and efficient with their services once they had started: My only complaint is that I had to wait a half an hour even tho I booked the appointment in advance online. I wasn’t in a rush so it wasn’t the end of the world - but I could have been.
Been here three times now as the salon is close by. People are super nice and very friendly. I love that. The quality of work wasn't very good at all. I got bio gel nails done and they were so thick and bumpy. I've been getting my nails done regularly for over 12 years now and I've been to a lot of salons as I've moved around a lot. I'm very familiar with what a good set of nails looks like. I always like to give the benefit of the doubt which is why I came here a few times but the quality of work done each time really wasn't very good. I've done two full sets of bio gel nails and a pedicure. So sad. I had high hopes.
Second shellac manicure at Nailing and I am impressed. It’s a no frills salon, but the work these guys are doing is top notch. Even a month after my first appointment I know, I know, I should definitely be getting my nails done more often I had no chips in the manicure. Second time, the shaping is fantastic, and application looks . Great hand massage to boot!
Chloe is super nice but was only available to do half my pedicure. Unfortunately the rest of my experience here was terrible. I made an appointment but was left alone after half my pedicure was complete. I sat there in total for an hour and half to get 2 coats of polish and a top coat. The pedicure was just bad quality. Wouldn’t recommend. Will stick with going to the 10spot to get in and out in 60 minutes.Service: Pedicure
Hit and miss with their quality of work and their cleanliness of the nail salon. And lately it has NOT been positive so it's 2 stars from me. I think Chloe keeps them in business and no one really cares about the rest of the clientele that frequent the salon.Services: Nail polish changes
Happy with my shellac manicure. We made a reservation ahead of time, and they seated us quickly and the work was done well. Walls could use a touch up of paint but otherwise a clean salon.
Connie kills it with the designs for my manicures and always treats me so well. Very fairly priced. I was able to have a pedicure for myself and my partner for under $80.
I visited Nailing to get a Biogel manicure refill and was sorely disappointed not only in service provided, but also in the salon itself. I was hoping to find a new salon, as I just moved into the area, and I know I will not be going back ever. I arrived five minutes early for my appointment and was not seated for another 35 minutes. Which, fine! They maybe overbooked, but some communication would have been appreciated! The tools were not sterilized prior to them being used on me, and the woman doing my nails cut my cuticles three times, and then seemed to pretend like nothing happened, wiping the blood away with what I can only assume was acetone She also continuously pulled on my arms and hands in order to get me to "relax my hands", and then would pull them in odd and uncomfortable positions. By the end of the appointment, I had been there almost two hours, the cuticle clippers kept being brought back out at random stages to pick at pieces of my skin and cuticles for no apparent reason, and I just wanted to go home. The final nails are bumpy, wrinkled, textured, and overall not the best work I've ever had. But that, combined with the dirty salon, unsterilized tools, and the poor service, means I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, nor return here again.
So disappointed in my experience here. Their website boasts proudly that they do not do acrylic nails monomer - they provide bio gel which is exactly what I wanted. I asked for a bio gel overlay over my own nails. Bio gel requires a UV light to cure dry the medium. Renee did my nails who claimed to have been doing nails for 20+ years!! She was VERY nice and I really enjoyed her. When doing my nails she buffed off and removed the acrylics I had. She then proceeded to put some sort of clear chemical it was in what looked like a nail polish bottle on my nail and then proceeded to dunk my fingers into a pot of ACRYLIC POWDER and tapped off the excess. She did this on all nails and buffed and shaped them very nicely. At no point throughout the appointment did she put my hands under a light to cure the nails. The alarms in my head were going off because I knew this wasn’t bio gel - yes I should have spoken up and said something but I was in a time crunch so I just went with it and figured I’ll make sure I get the bio gel the next time I’m at a salon. Three days after, my nails all started to chip and break off. The overlay would separate from my natural nails and chip off. I went back exactly 1 week later to show them my nails I live out of town but I commute for work so this was the only time I could go in - wanting them to fix it. They couldn’t accommodate me. I asked for my money back and they wouldn’t give my money back. They told me to come back in 40 mins - I could not because I needed to be at work. Never going here again. They lie about being acrylic free and take advantage of you for your money. That’s all they care about. I hope Renee enjoyed the 40% tip I gave her.
3 weeks later and my shellac manicure hasn’t chipped or peeled. This is my first choice nail salon in the neighbourhood.
