Great first experience. Clean space, comfortable seating, well lit. Sushi tasted amazing. Not covered in salt, excess vinegar/mirin, or sugar. I prefer my sushi not heavily seasoned. Sashimi is not fishy! Firm, light and delicious. Portions was fair with the price. I need to try their Chinese cuisine my next visit and more sushi !
We eat it here probably every other week since Nagoya has opened because we love the variety, taste and fresh dishes!! My favourite dishes are the Tako Sunomono, Yakitori, any of the rolls, chicken fried Rice, Wild Salmon Sashimi, and the Bentos are pretty good as well! I’ve never had anything bad or not fresh here!
The best salmon sashimi in Edmonton! In the north side of Edmonton hides a hidden Japanese restaurant gem! 1⃣ The Deluxe Sashimi Combo 18 pcs $36.95 2⃣Atlantic Salmon Sashimi 6 pcs $16.95 3⃣Bento B with soup $15.95 4⃣Tonkatsu deep fried pork 5⃣Ika Sushi 2pcs $5 + Hotate Sushi 2pcs $6.50 6⃣Chop chop 2 pcs $5.50 + aburi Salmon Toro 2 pcs $5 —— we got really hungry!! I haven’t had fresh salmon sashimi like this is a LONG time it was amazing
Edit: Recently came in to eat here, lovely little place, service was great, and the food even better! Mostly got sushi delivered from this place, and honestly I've been very suprised and happy with the quality of the sushi. Fresh fish, and everything tastes as it should. They also have a small section of Chinese cuisine, whish is alright, but really I'm all about thier sushi. Hope to pop by one day and eat in!
As a Japanese restaurant ran by Chinese people, this place was expectedly, alright. The wife was craving ramen so we came and she ended up ordering soba noodles. I warned her she was probably going to end up disappointed, but the cravings were real. When the soba came super soggy, she was hesitant to complain but they were very accommodating! That was nice. Since past experiences would dictate the food wouldn't be as good compared to if they were a specialty shop for Ramen and knowing they were Chinese behind the counter -- I ordered Chinese food from their menu, and man, that was bomb! We also ordered a roll that was alright, wife's food was alright, and overall that was our whole experience. Only highlight would be the staff that were very nice and welcoming, accommodating to my wife's complaint they gave her ramen noodles to replace the soggy soba and the restaurant was very clean and roomy. In terms of prices however, it's definitely on the expensive side considering the quality of the food you're getting. Try it for sure, you'll see what I mean.
Horribly overpriced, sinister portion size and mediocre taste/freshness. My husband and I went there to take out some food for lunch. When I was given a take out menu, I was warned that the price might be a bit different since the pamphlet is outdated. I wanted to get a Chirashi bowl. It was $20.99 according to the menu which I still felt pretty expansive compared to other restaurants I've been to for Chirashi bowls. But later I found out that the actual price of that bowl is $27.99!! That is for 1 bowl of Chirashi. I thought at least the portion size would be generous especially when the price didn't include miso soup or any other sides. But NOPE.. the size was extremely small. Also my husband and I each ordered different set of stuff to take to our work to eat. But they only included 1 tiny cup of wasabi and another tiny cup of ginger. So I ended up taking all the ginger to my work and no wasabi while my husband taking all the wasabi to his work without any ginger. The server also only packed 2 small packets of soy sauce for both of us so we each ended up with 1 soy sauce. How cheap is that? We spent more than $60 and given 2 packets of soy sauce? This place is a joke. Will never return and tell my co-workers, friends and family to go some place else for sushi.
Amongst other items that were "OK", sashimi was worst I've ever had... Uneven cuts, weird long shapes, chewy. Extremely overpriced for what you get. $31... For 12 pieces of chewed up salmon. What a joke. Nagoyuck
Thia was a nice place . Very welcoming staff and beautiful ambience whilst maintaining safety standards . We ordered the 24 pcs sushi and sashi which ws adequate for 3 people . Also dragon rolls on the side which was adequate for 3 people . Food were delicious . More suitable for small groups with maximum 6. Ample parking and easy access through transit .
The food was delicious and was served hot and extremely quick, loved all the food and sushi was perfect. The service and atmosphere was excellent, staff was very welcoming. Really enjoyed and we will be back for sure.Food: 5/5
What a gem. If I could give this place 10 stars I would. We went in tonight for some sushi, sushi, dynamic rolls and shrimp tempura. We were warmly greeted. The staff was amazing. They were so friendly. .the decor was amazing. We put our order in, and bam, food started arriving. Food looked delicious. Then we took a bite and oh my heaven, what amazing food. This is by far my favorite new Japanese restaurant. I can't thank thr staff enough for the wonderful experience that we got tonight. Located just if 167 Ave and 50 st, it's very easy to get to. Lots of parking. You won't be disappointed. Give this great place a try
