I ordered Tandoori chicken and Beef Kebab. Beef is really good and well marinated. Beef, hot sauce and rice is good combo. Hot sauce is okay not HOT enough. Gralic sauce is okay. Bread baked well soft inside and little crispy texture outside. Salad is plain and dry. The owner is really nice. She cared for her customer.
The food was great. They are very generous about quantity. The server lady was very nice and friendly. Price was reasonable. We loved the traditional sitting arrangement. They served us some very refreshing tea afterwards. Will go again for sure. Highly recommended.
Awesome Afghan food in east Scarborough. Friendly service by the family that owns the place. The usual beef, chicken, lamb offerings but their kebabs are juicy, moist, and tender and goes very well with the yogurt sauce and the mild spicy vinegary sauce they also provide. Give the sweet house tea a try too, it complements the meal quite well. They also have a traditional low table setup open for customers to try which is great as other places just use it as a showpiece, not here!
They were closing at 9PM, and even though we came late at 8:30PM, they were really kind enough to let us dine in. The atmosphere and food was amazing. Highly recommend to visit. I have to say Afghani people are one of the nicest people you would encounter. Thank you so much for your hospitality.

I visited today with my family after wanting to try something different than our typical Afghan restaurant closed to us in Markham; this restaurant is located inside The villages of Abbey lane. After a long time in an Afghan restaurant, I was greeted on entering; I am a good fan of afghan food. Still, most of them, including Bamyan and Khander are, have become commercial places with no focus on their customer service, Bamiyan food quality is good. Still, they have one of the worst customer services and getting worst day by day. Therefore it was a reason to drive to Nadi Halal Kebab, and they have not disappointed. I was greeted nicely by a person standing behind the counter, and he explained to us by giving us a menu and how we should order. Menu prices were reasonable, and the food came out in 15 minutes, which was fast as they were busy. Food quality was good, with proper portions. After we finished, the food owner came out to talk about herself and her family and offered us tea; that’s was a good gesture, in between many regular customers were coming to the store. They know most people by their name and were asking queston about their family etc., overall it was a great experience and I will recommend them to other family and friends.
The best lamb shank iv tried. Good ambiance for our family get together. Enjoy the food and the service of the staffs and owner. Will surely be back
I would definitely recommend anyone to visit and have a memorable experience with your family and friends at Nadi's halal kebab shop. Great point to be noted: sitting on the cushions towshaks and having food with green tea as a finisher is something you'll be grateful for. I'm beyond grateful that I was recommended this place by my cousin, as it gave me Afghanistan backhome vibes. 20 out of 10!
Was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. It seems to be a family run business and the owner is a very friendly lady. The interior has Afghan style seating which is very ornate and feels fancy yet cozy at the same time. It also has regular tables and chairs. Food was fresh and they also served us complementary black tea at the end of our meal. Thank you for the wonderful service! Vegetarian options: I did not see any pure vegetarian options other than the sides rice, naan and salad Kid-friendliness: Very friendly owner, good with kids. A great place to go for some good Afghan food. I’ve had the tandoori chicken, grilled chicken, and beef kofta dinners and wraps. All were made fresh to order and tasted great. On top of the good food, the customer service is Excellent!! Each time I go the host/hostess have been so friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend this place.
I travelled all the way from Ottawa and decided to eat here and they did not disappoint. The service was great with amazing hospitality and kindness. For people that travelled very far it was really refreshing. The food was delicious as well and gave me lots of energy. I recommend everyone try out Nadi since they definitely won’t disappoint.
