The food is awesome. But I am just not able to figure out their schedule. I never find them in SLU now and the social media accounts have no updates. I am waiting for them to be back soon. It was my goto place pre-covid. I did not spot them after covid.
The food at this Indian food truck was good, the prices were very reasonable, but the portions were pretty small. We had the ‘butter chicken’ 7/10 and the ‘paneer butter masala’ 8/10, both with basmati rice 7/10 and naan 8/10. You can use the street furniture in the area to have your lunch!
Experienced the delicious taste literally minutes ago, and wanted to give my feedback while it is still fresh in my mind. To the owners < I have been in hospitality, and service for decades, so simply sharing my "experience" :- I was heading home from the gym, and dreading another boring meal at home. Actually saw the food truck on my way to the gym, and was excited that it was still there as I was walking home. The attendant shared that there was no menu. I wish we humans can raise the bar, and exceed it more. Even if you had to type, or write items out, it gives the guest something to look at while making a decision. Then it make you wonder if it isn't posted because of the price of the items. He then shared with me what was on the menu. Took a little time explaining butter chicken etc. Just a food for thought. There are many of us that are cultured and travel. Hence, if there was a menu we could see the ingredients. While sharing the options, price was never mentioned. I ordered the lamb, and garlic naan. The order plus the "You must tip IPAD screen" came up to $23.11 The food was literally being placed in my container as I was checking out on the IPAD. The food was absolutely DELICIOUS !!! And I have had Indian food in India. The dahl was seasoned perfectly, the lamb tasteful, and the naan still warm by time I made it home. Pluses *** Flavor, Speed, Supporting small businesses Opportunity to raise the bar *** Having a menu. No need to describe the dishes. Small talk not needed Not trying to be antisocial. Pleasant, and courteous manner fulfills all. Many of us order food to get in/out. When we go to a restaurant we understand there is going to be interaction Great overall, and I wouldn't hesitate to try again if I saw this food truck. Hopefully you all are planning to open a pop up or restaurant
Fast service, very friendly, but sort of pricey for a food truck and garlice naan was a little stale with very little actual garlic. Good for a quick, spicy bite.
Friendly service. Have 3 main entrees a day red meat, poultry, vegetarian along with some optional veggie sides. Food is good, but couldn’t tell the difference between the curry of the day and their “Butter” curry. It was more of a brown gravy than the usual reddish-orange-brown from other places. It was also not smooth or creamy, and more chunky. Decent portions.
Naansense came to our neighborhood for Food Truck Night. I had the lamb curry. Hubby had the butter chicken and the samosassp?. The food was quite spicy but that's what I like. I would have liked the sauce for the samosas to be more yogurt-y, but it was still tasty. They had our order ready pretty quick, which is always a plus. I hope they come back again!
Very small quantities compare to an appetizer for the price you pay min $13 for very tiny portions main item 1 tbsp, with one naan and 1 tablespoon of cooked rice. Gave them in-person feedback a few times, and went back there to try again but saw no change. You’re better of going to some other places and having a sit down meal for the price you’d pay here.
Very small quantities of food served for a very high cost. I paid about $12 for small portions of food. The food itself is below average when I compare it to other Indian food available in the vicinity. The chana masala I ate was bland and rice were not completely cooked. I would not want to go back and pay more money for the lower quality and quantity food they serve. Gave them feedback via the square app and received a rebuttal claiming to be the highest quality and quantity food around Seattle.
Excellent food and reasonable prices!
The place gets five stars for pricing very reasonable, but only one or two stars for the food. The naan, while fresh, was nothing to write home about. It didn’t have the charred-yet-hint-of-yogurt-gooeyness that good naans have. I ordered the Chana masala and it was pretty bland. The chick peas were not mushy at all, so the food hadn’t been slow cooked like most Chana masala. Overall, if I really have a craving for Indian and there’s nowhere else to go, I’ll choose this place.
