It was unexpected stop during my day to have fine dining. I was surprised with very nice customer service and great selection of items on the menu. Food was excellent and I have no complaints auto It. For sure it was different then other greek restaurants but I don't expect all restaurants to be the same. The only small minus to the food was that chicken was little to hard but it tasted amazing. The desert was a great culmination of my experience. For sure I be back.
Food was amazing! Service was great. The only blip is that it's a little too cozy. Space is somewhat limited and not ideal for larger groups.Food: 5/5
During my recent trip to Canada August 2022, this restaurant was recommended by a friend who lives in the area. The food was delicious, we ordered the Chef Special with Village Salad, and Lamb Souvlaki with the Soup du Jour. For dessert, we ordered the feta cheesecake. It was absolutely phenomenal, probably the best cheesecake I have ever had. The restaurants atmosphere was clean and well-appointed. The staff were knowledgeable, friendly, and timely. I would definitely revisit this restaurant in the future and recommend it to others.
I’ve been searching for a great Greek spot and finally found it. The dips were my favourite - I could’ve eaten just them for dinner. The Saganaki was a lot of fun and deliciously crispy. Can’t wait to go back.
I love hearing about and exploring decent spots. Mythos is certainly a gem for Greek food in the GTA. Let’s start with Saganaki Opa, the flaming pan-seared Greek cheese doused with lemon juice and served with a side of herbed pita. Watch the dish go “Opa!” at the table. Garidomakaronda is a pasta with portions as large as the name would imply! Comprising of huge sautéed shrimp, mushroom, Greek cheese and ouzo sauce, it’s akin to carbonara with a sharper aroma. Served with a classic lemon-egg soup, Avgolemono. Seabass is a seared fillet entrée topped by capers, creamy lemon sauce. It’s served on a huge platter with soft rice pilaf and grilled red peppers to round out the taste palate. Enjoy with a side of sweet beet salad. Feel the Greek hospitality as soon as you enter. Family dining at its best, with friendly attentive service & heaping amounts of food!
We go to Mythos about once a year and always enjoy the food and excellent service. Today we took our daughters 12 year olds for the first time and they really enjoyed it. We had the Cyprus Meze and it was amazing as always. It comes out in four courses and is absolutely delicious. It is a ton of food and you are certainly going to be taking a lot of leftovers home with you!! It’s very reasonable $32/adult and $16/children. The Greek beer was perfect and a nice change from the usual beers offered locally. The Pinot Grigio was also excellent. We will come back again as Mythos continues to be our dine-in option for Greek food!!
The worse experience we ever had in a restaurant we had at this place. We were there for Father's day and we waited 2 hours for the food and the food was really bad. They should be ashamed to call that a Greek restaurant. The service was horrible as well, they didn't even came to ask if we wanted more water or other driks for the 2 hours we were there. The never even asked how the food was even though we left all the food on the table. We will never go there again even if they provide free food. If we had an option we would give them zero stars.
Service was excellent. Wine, appetizers and mains. All the food was very good except the lamb chops. They've gone from 3 thick chops to 6 thin ones and they were barely edible. Too much oregano and salt. Should have sent it back but did not want to dampen the mood at the table. Note appetizers are large. Each good for 2 people. We ordered too much but we took the leftovers home.
Seating area is cozy and nice Tried their chicken dish, was OK. Thought it was a bit dry, needed some moisture to complement it. Their soup was good
When you go, be ready for the fun, meet the owner/chef he is such a fun person, original and enjoys what’s his doing, the food is tasty colourful and just original Mediterranean!
