I can't believe how helpful the staff were, particularly the lady who I think is the owner. She helped my find an obscure piece for my DeLonghi espresso machine and stayed late so I could come after hours to get it. Obviously they have a good inventory of things and are helpful and caring, despite being short-staffed. This is a great business.
Drove across the city to drop off my vitamix, the automatic entry door nearly knocked myself and an older gentleman over while trying to navigate the poorly maintained entryway covered in snow and ice Once inside, we both waited with zero acknowledgment from anyone until I went into the back to get the employees attention who was busy eating. His body language dictated that he was irritated I had interrupted his lunch and then when I told him I hadn't booked an online appointment as I didn't know that was the required protocol and figured I would just come in with my requested repair, as most would do and he huffed and puffed, rolled his eyes and didn't respond. I felt so awkward! I finally told him I would be happy to the my business elsewhere to which he replied "ok". They're struggling hard in there...if you are expecting a friendly, timely service, do NOT go here.
Eric is great! He is repairing all the appliances by himself and is overburdened with work. He is one of the only people with the certification and expertise to repair a lot of them in western Canada. Show some grace and respect for a hardworking immigrant who is doing the best he can do. Please stop with the rude comments!
I wanted to by a waterpump for my De Longhi coffee machine. I went to the shop in Calgary. A very angry and rude gentleman told me that he has it in his shop but I must go and buy it online. He complained that no one wants to work anymore and that he has to work long hours. He also did not want to give me his name and basically chased me out of the shop. Very surreal experience for me.
Call in to ask for an availability of a part. I greeted kindly with an "how are you?" and he rudely replied "Yeah how can I help you?" in a sarcastic tone. When I ask nicely about a Kenmore product, he judgementaly replied "Kenmore? A kenmore? Kenmore is sears." and "yeah, we don't have that." I was calling different appliance stores and he was the 5th one and was never greeted like that and all can have that part shipped. SUCH RUDENESS.
Paid a very unusual $30 deposit 3 months ago to be put on a waiting list and was finally contacted this week to bring in my Delonghi Espresso machine for repair. I made the 45km drive to Myric and was met by a rude older individual who was basically annoyed I was in his shop. After explaining that I was called by someone at Myric to bring in my machine, he asked for my order code and then told me he was very busy and maybe it would be another 3 months before he could repair my machine. I said this was not acceptable. He said he could give me my $30 back and I could try and fix it myself. I never met a company that was happy to get rid of customers! What a waste of my time. Delonghi should delist this company immediately as a qualified service centre. Unless you are ok with commitments broken, dont go there.
Having dealt with Myric a few years back, I quickly Googled their address this morning to make sure I remembered where it was and what their hours of business were, and then set off with my De'Longhi espresso machine to see if it could be repaired. Upon entering the premises I fortunately left the heavy machine in my car, I was met by an extremely rude older man who was appalled that I had not filled out an online service request prior to showing up at the store. His tone and attitude were angry and extremely condescending. He lectured me as he would a misbehaving child. Needless to say, I left abruptly after thanking him politely for his time. I felt badly that I had not reviewed the website thoroughly before I visited their store, but I believe I did not deserve that level of rudeness and the situation could have been handled much differently. I could have been asked politely to return to my car, call up the service form on my phone, and then leave the machine on the front counter or even outside their door, if that was their preference. If there was an instructional sign on their door, I did not see it. My eyes were drawn, instead, to the extreme clutter that was visible through the glass front. Unfortunately, I cannot and will NOT recommend doing business with Myric Calgary. There are other businesses, I'm sure, with better customer service.
Wonderful selection of French Berger products. A tucked away little place. Friendly lady at the counter.
Two weeks into our new machine and we are thrilled. My first impressions with Myric were fantastic and the follow through proved to be just as good. Would certainly recommend to anyone looking for a new appliance. I meant to call during the day to ask about special ordering an espresso machine, but the day escaped me so I ended up sending an email after hours. I was not expecting a phone call back within 2 hours from the owner, so was surprised when to came up on caller ID. The owner then indicated that he could not only do my custom order but that he also would be able yo give me a special price. He then went on to ask several question s to make sure I understood the size and complexity of the machine I wanted. I'm now excitedly waiting the arrival of my new machine and will update as the order progresses, but so far I am very impressed. Great price and great customer service.
Purchased my espresso machine here a number of years ago and recently phoned to have it serviced. The lady I spoke with on the phone/dealt with at the front was WONDERFUL; very informative, clear, concise information and polite to boot, and I got the same great treatment when I arrived to drop the machine off. I was even told that because I purchased the machine at their store it would be given priority over machines that were purchased elsewhere. Love the loyalty to your customers, guys! The pricing was clear, they emailed a quote before proceeding, as my total repair cost was over the basic amount where they just fix it without contacting you, which I was made aware of when I dropped the machine off. I would be STOKED to purchase any other small appliances or kitchen gadgets from their store. Cannot recommend highly enough!
