Excellent service and food. Fast and tasty. Best coffee and clam chowder in town. Freshed baked sourdough with each meal. To avoid surcharge bring cash.
Stopped for supper on our way to Homer. Steak was great but veggies on side were steamed but still very crunchy and the baked potato was a basic baked potato. My partner had the halibut which he said ran pretty dry.nnThe desert saved it. We got the creme brulee and blackberry cheesecake which were awesome.nnEntrees were good but overpriced
The wife and I decided to try Mykel's for our 9th anniversary dinner tonight. We were blown away with the food, the service, and loved having the music. We shared the muscles appetizer, while the wife got fish and chips, and I, the smoked ribeye. The appetizer in itself was hard to not finish!!! It was so good, not overcooked, perfectly seasoned, and we had to stop ourselves to save room for dinner.nNow our server Ross did an amazing job juggling a table of 12+ people, and our table. He was attentive, and always brought us anything we needed.nThe main course's were amazing as well. The fish and chips was crispy, and full of flavor, the tartar sauce was zesty and the fish was perfect. The ribeye was perfectly cooked to medium rare, and the onions were perfectly caramelized.nWe will be coming back again for sure. Thank you to our server Ross, and to the cooks who prepared our delicious food, even to the other servers who helped pick up plates.
Every time I've visited Alaska, I go here. It has a quaint, friendly atmosphere with great food. The fried halibut is unbeatable!! You will not be disappointed!
Got the smoked Ribeye steak with a salad. I asked for steak to be cooked medium, it was a little more done then medium. Over all the food was good, I do recommend that they sharpen the steak knives as the one I received was more sawed and ripped the meat vs slicing.
