Musquodoboit Valley Quality Sod (MVQS)

I ordered Sod 5 weeks ago and the company refuses to give me my deposit back, even though they admit that they have their pallets back in good condition. They keep saying “it’s coming” but it’s been 5 weeks and 6 phone calls and they still have my money. Upon ordering I sent Musquodoboit Valley Quality Sod a $140 deposit that I was told would be refunded once they picked up their pallets. When they didn’t come to get the pallets I called and they told me their driver had quit. Wanting to help out and also wanting my deposit back I found a way to get them back out to their location for them. But I still wasn’t refunded, I had to call them to tell them they still owed me my deposit. They told me they send cheques out every two weeks for refunding pallet deposits but it’s been 5 weeks and 6 phone calls and they are still telling me “it’s coming the next time we write cheques”. I asked them if they could simply send an e-transfer, as that’s how they requested I pay them, but they won’t. I must say that everyone I spoke to on the phone was very kind and polite but the management they relay the information to must be broke or have no respect for other peoples finances. I would not recommend buying sod or soil from this company. I would however love to hear a response from the owner on why they feel it is ok to keep a customer’s deposit for 5 weeks with no explanation. *i was eventually refunded about a month after I posted this review
