Excellent museum of the history of different types of industry. Water, electricity, weaving, machinery, many different directions. The mannequins are made in a simple form, but look good together with the exhibits of the museum. You can go into some places to look from the inside, and try some on your hand like the weight of cast iron kitchen utensils, or turn the handle of a hydraulic turbine. A good museum and it was very interesting. There is also a souvenir shop and a very large free parking lot here.
Friendly and informative museum. The staff obviously love what they do. The grounds are also a nice stopping point on the drive as you can use the washroom without paying for admission. That being said, the museum is reasonably priced and well worth the ticket fee.
Completely caught by surprise how excellent a stop this was. Some wonderful Nova Scotia history across multiple industries and plenty of hands-on activities for kids. Looking forward to going back, and the time planned just wasn't enough.
This was a wonderful stop on my trip! Lots to do for adults but also lots of kid friendly activities! The volunteers were extremely talkative and had amazing and personal insight into the different time periods. It was well worth cost of admission and I would recommend!
Highly recommend, staffs are extremely helpful, well maintained, ample parking space, kids enjoyed the visit.
