My first time & definitely won't be my last!! Campsites and washrooms are well maintained, free firewood is great! staff are nice and respectful, Fern's convenient store & restaurant was great!! All in all my son and I will be back 2023!!!
We stayed in North Murry Campground. Nice private spots and electric. Some spots are smaller so if you have a bigger RV check dimensions on campsite to see if you fit. Shower facilities are in main campground so you have to drive over to it. The beach at North Murry is smaller then main campground beach but lots of shade and disc golf is near by, so is Fern's restaurant if you want a snack or ice cream and nice picnic area.
First time coming here and won't be the last. Well taken care of Campground. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Checked out Ferns for their all you can eat breakfast and it was delicious. We had decent trees and only had to be out in the sun for a few hours before the trees covered it up. Make sure you have strong pegs. We just had the ones the tent came with and most of them are now bent because of the hard gravel we had to hammer them in. Overall, your camp site is a nice distance away from neighbors, the bugs weren't horrible, we did use off and mosquito coils, and the bathrooms are kept clean.
Beautiful Mixed Parkland geography. We tent and our campsite was beautiful but I saw a lot that weren't as nice as ours. The beach is small but was busy and had nice sand. There is a beautiful trail to walk around the campground and along the beach, it's about 2.5km. There is a couple really nice playgrounds so it's probably nice for people with children. We enjoyed our stay but compared to other places we camp, the cons outweighed the pros. The firepits are very tall with no cutout to let any heat out. Not nice on chilly nights. We found it very noisy all night, with the noise coming from private properties which basically surround the campground and the lake. Karaoke wedding and boat music kept us awake late. The toilets are mostly outhouses/flush outhouses which is fine except they say "accessible" but they are incredibly low and there is no light at night. There is no dog friendly beach.
Great camp grounds. Clean, lots of free fire wood, great shower house. Super friendly staff! I would definitely recommend.
Nice large campsites that all have power. Well treed areas with walking trails throughout the campground. There is a sheltered picnic area with green space for family activities.
As a provincial park campground it has to be the best run of all of them. The staff are friendly, the firewood stock is well supplied, sites are well maintained and the bonus is the newly paved road. I have camped here for several years in a row and have never had any noise concerns.De finitely one of the few things our government did right.
Been coming here for years. It only gets better every year. Clean shower facility, big sites, nice sandy beach.
Very nice camp ground with clean, modern facilities. The park staff were great! I found the country music playing in the shower rooms 24-7 a little out of place for a provincial campground. Otherwise a nice place to spend a few nights.
Love coming here to camp. Very scenic camp sites. Feels like camping in the forest. Lots of tall trees and huge sites. Facilities are always very clean. Ferns grocery and confectionary is a great place for any grocery items and snacks.
