Very well-kept campground. All sites electrified. We had difficulty getting to the wood pile as I didn't want to carry wood that far. I finally found a route to be able to load some on my truck. The campground map was not clear how to get to the wood pile by vehicle.
Great campground for tenting or if you're not needed full hookup for trailers. They also offer Otentik rentals which reminds me of the old shack tents that heralded back to the initial cabins of Waskesui. Close to the townsite, main beach, and Red Deer campground. Nice trees, and fire permits include fire wood. Dump facilities are also on site.
Great campground - keep in mind most washrooms are seasonal so they close after September.
Great place to camp while at Waskesiu. Not full services but you can have a fire and you have some fairly spacious and somewhat private sites.
We stay at k1 slot. We are an old fashion camper, which means tent, nature, explore… This campground was good except the washroom location, too far from my spot. Overall it was a great experience. We will definitely going back next year. Great hiking options. Waskesiu has a lot of options for activities. This is the place for you to have a great summer.
It’s the only option for camping in a tent within walking distance of Waskesiu’s townsite, but is incredibly loud and crowded with RVs.
Loved camping in our tent here. The facilities were well maintained and clean flushing toilets and hot showers. Short walk to Waskesiu lake beautiful to watch the sunset from there. Saw a bunch of wildlife and heard wolves howling during the night.
Beautiful treed sites. So far, very quiet. Bathrooms very clean. Very peaceful.
The only negative thing is that pegging down a tent is challenging due to the surface you have to drive the stakes into
I had a great experience here! Sites are private with tree coverage. Shower house was extremely clean B loop, and never too busy. Firewood is free with your 7$ fire permit.
