Mumbo Gumbo PDX

Good crew and good food. Had some reservations, being a southerner myself, but this place was way better than I anticipated. I got The Trinity, def recommend. Didn't get dessert but will absolutely be back to try.

I had the shrimp and grits! Very interesting twist to the dish. I love the different texture. Mine was warm, not hot when I received it due to the distance/door dash but still was good.

Usually it's really good but I ordered the create your own gumbo and the Okra pieces weren't as soft as they usually are. I also got the banana pudding. It tasted like mashed up bananas with whipped cream and nilla wafers on top. Definitely not worth 7 dollars. I tasted no caramel.

Great Food. I think it's also great they close at 2 a.m on the weekdays.

Best grits I've had. The gumbo is pretty amazing as well.

One of our favorite food carts and places to eat in general in Portland. I always get their red beans and rice and my wife gets the gumbo and we share it. Big portions and really great food means awesome left-over lunch the next day. Would highly recommend this place if you like cajun food.
