Reviews
I love Japanese stores like this shop from clothing, shoes, stationary, and tableware. Even a small cafe on the second floor.
Cute stuff, but not the best quality. The return policy isn't that great. Exchange only. They have quite a variety of things available as well, good for little gifts or stocking stuffers. Most of the time they are restocking shelves during store hours which makes it hard to navigate the store. Location is convenient.
Updated review: This MUJI is only available from the outside at the Dundas Street entrance during pandemic protocols stage 3. There is a security guard that monitors the front door with information and ensure everyone sanitizes on their way in. The store is nicely labeled and is still pretty organized and clean! They have a decent system in the store as well for their categories. Review from 4 years ago: I quite like the MUJI here; it has multiple entrances from inside the ATRIUM on BAY or outside as well. The store is very clean and nicely organized. I love the consistency they have here versus their other international locations as well. I do like their products a lot!
MUJI Atrium displays variety in a beautifully simplistic way. A colleague recommended their pens and that was supposed to be the entire purpose of my visit — I ended up savouring the entire experience — from their stylish household furniture, organic skincare products, selective display of essential oil fragrances and the spring fashion collection. I deserve another visit and you should consider going too if you’re abstemious or have minimalistic tendencies. High-priced clothing for rather regular fabric, everything else was worth the cost.
Impeccably merchandised. On two levels. They offer custom embroidery while you wait. Be sure to check out the coffee shop on the top floor. That's where you will also find homewares.
Fun store, quality products, friendly staff. They have a fun table with stamps to customize your notebooks after purchase.
I like Muji a lot, but with this branch you have to be careful about the price. Last summer I bought clothes on sale, but I found out when I arrived home that they charged the full price. I called and they said "sorry, it's a mistake" and said that I can go back to get a refund. Again, today I went to buy a few pens, which were not on sale, but when they charged me they charged the higher price! I found out after I carefully checked the receipt this time. They said "sorry it's a mistake" again and I got a refund again but I felt they're not responsible to their customers by doing the same mistakes again and again.
This muji store has evolved a lot since it first came to this area. Now with two full floors of products this location has all that is on offer for Canada at muji. The home goods department is very good and fun to browse through.
The recently renovated MUJI has so much to offer. Two floors filled with the minimalistic-style goods. Clothing, furniture, stationary, kitchenware, etc. The staff was very friendly, greeted me when I entered, asked if needed assistance while browsing, and courteous during checkout. A little expensive, but it's quality that you're paying for here.
Location / Environment Muji is conveniently located in Atrium near Dundas station. The current store is a temporary location since the real store is under renovation also in Atrium. This location is always packed with people, making navigating a bit difficult. Recommendations I always come back to Muji to buy their cleansing oil. It's formulated for sensitive skin and doesn't break me out. Their toners and other skincare products are also very gentle and perform well. Their elastic bands, lens paper, and travel containers are also very high quality and last a long time. Price Some items are more expensive than elsewhere eg. elastic bands, but the quality is great and last a lot longer than ones from Dollar store. Would I return? Most definitely!
