Since opening our first store in The Glebe in 1977, we have become the oldest local, family-owned, independent toy retailer in Ottawa. Specializing in educational, high quality, and 'kid-powered' toys, for both the young, and the young at heart! Visit often, we are always on the hunt for exciting unique toys and gifts! So many items to see and buy. If you're in the Glebe area I don't think you'll have a better choice to find these odd niknaks and variety of toys. They have a number of stores throughout the city and they're all generally great. Parking can be a bit of a problem during the day but that's a usual problem with the Glebe. My only gripe about the store is the hours but they are generally the same hours as the other stores in the Glebe area.
Amazing place with lovely staff, a great location, and fun products! As an avid toy collector, this place is my dream. They have a wide variety of toys for all ages, including board games upstairs, an Our Generation section in the back, and puzzles of all difficulties. The staff is very helpful and kind, and, above all, they seem to love their job! There also seems to always be something happening each weekend, be it a "garage sale" or fun activities for kids. Overall, this is a great location and fun store!
Nice selection of kid's toys on the main floor. There is an American Girl section with dolls and accessories. The second floor has a range of adult-appropriate gifts like glassware and socks as well as a good selection of games Catan, Exploding Kittens, Apples to Apples and puzzles.
Love this store. Great for any small gift for family and friends. Amazing sock selection essential for secret santas. Board game selection is good but prices are higher than other local small stores so its worth shopping around.
Mrs Tiggy Winkles is the best you store in Ottawa. They have every toy available for a wide range of ages from board games to Lego. The staff are courteous and offer wonderful customer service. The also generously donate to some of the charities I volunteer for throughout the city.
It's so great to have a local toy store that I can go to with my grandsons. It seems like an old-style store. And yes -- there is lots of interesting toys there for both the young and the old.
Toys, toys and more toys! Two floors stocked to the brim with a large variety of toy and gags for all ages. First floor is catered to kids ages 1 year to 6/7/8 years where when you head upstairs, there are things for the older crowd.
Need a birthday present? This is the place, they'll even gift wrap your stuff. Upstairs has a decent selection of board games and other diversions for older folks.
Just went to Mrs. Tiggy Winkles for the last time, and I’m a little saddened by this. This store IS what I consider the quintessential toy store and is an institution in Ottawa that is unfortunately closing in mere days. Goodbye old friend, you’ll be sorely missed
Still the wonderful toyshop of my youth. For a place to keep its character for 30 years is an amazing feat. Definitely worth going to for a wide variety of toys.
