Best Turkish food available. Three amazing partners overtook the Turkish fast food business by offering a great quality of barbecue rather: it is referred to as shawarma chicken, beef or lamb. Cant wait for them to start with there genuine knafeh. The price is reasonably fair and affordable. The location is prime.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Mr. Tantuni, and I must say, the hospitality of the employees alone is worth giving this place 5 stars. They made me feel incredibly welcome. Now, let's talk about the food. Their Adana kebap and sandwiches were absolutely delicious, bursting with flavor. I couldn't get enough! The lahmacun was good, though not exceptional, but considering the overall experience, I still believe this place deserves a solid 5-star rating. I'm already looking forward to my next visit. I should note that it's only been four days since they took over the shop, and it seems like they haven't fully set it up yet. With a bit more decoration and some finishing touches, they have the potential to do an outstanding job. Keep up the great work, Mr. Tantuni! I'll be back for more soon.
We first found out about this place back in October and at that time we’re very excited to try it out. We finally were able to make our way there and we’re very excited and have very high hopes for this place. We are very familiar with the Turkish cuisine, and we know how delicious they can be. However, this place definitely under performed in that aspect. We individually each had a beef Gyro and a chicken dish. However, the food was very subpar and the plates were definitely small. The price tag for each plate is on the more expensive side. The food was overly very normal and nothing too special. Beware if you come and eat here you most likely will walk out hungry. If I come back here, I will probably try the less expensive sandwiches and order two of them. We then gave a shot to the kunafah, as I am quite familiar with this desert, as I personally do make it at home and know how delicious it can be. I asked the gentleman at the cash if it is just pistachio or cheese, and he said both. When I received the kunafah, the only thing I had was sprinkled pistachios on top. I was pretty disappointed with this because the least original version one just has cheese in it. Tl;dr: expect expensive dishes that are small and quite normal, do not expect high quality Turkish food. Don’t order the knafa is it does not contain cheese.
I visited this place for the first time, located in the heart of downtown, had a yogurt tantuni plate and a beef dinner sandwich. I enjoyed both but I prefer the yogurt tantuni. The sandwich lacked flavor but that could just be me. I dipped the sandwich into the yogurt sauce from the other plate lol. I then enjoyed it The Kunefe with vanilla ice cream was a first for me. It was a pleasant surprise, perfect level of sweetness and becomes rich with the ice cream. It was a perfect meal after a long day at work. I would come back for the yogurt tantuni and kunefe but would also try other items.
We had chicken and beef sandwiches and they both tasted great. The bread was particularly tasty and fresh. Nice service as well.Food: 4/5
Highly recommend the beef plate. The lentil soup was also very good and came with bread. The portions were big. I asked about this dessert I saw on their prep counter. It wasn't on the menu and the staff gave us some to try. It was delicious. The restaurant was clean and bright and the staff was super friendly. Kid-friendliness: Family friendly
Their beef shawarma sandwich had a delicious light sesame bread, delicious beef shawarma, and the freshest vegetables I have eaten in a sandwich. It has glass walls, which gives it nice natural lighting during the day. Good place for a casual lunch, but there are no booths, only hard chairs.Food: 5/5
In case you missed Turkish cuisine in Montreal that’s the place to go. Or maybe you want to try some nice service and quick, the place has been working for ages.Food: 4/5
I came to eat at Tantuni for the first time today, July 30th, 2023. I ordered a beef shawarma by itself, and paid 10$ before tax. The cashier was really nice, and told me that he was giving me free fries. As someone who values the dollar, I appreciated this kind gesture and thanked him. Kind gestures like these make you want to return and continue to return. Thank you again to the cashier. I apologize that I didn’t get your name. Ps, the food was very nice, and homemade style. Not like fast food at all.
Good place for a quick bite. Must try: Kunafah with ice cream In the pic: kunafah, chicken sandwichFood: 5/5
