I've ordered the Golden Soup Beef Rice Noodles a handful of times now and I would say this dish can range from good to excellent depending on two things: whether the kitchen respects my request to adjust the spice level to mild I find the standard spice level is way too much and whether I'm lucky enough to get tender chunks of beef because you don't always. The times when they get the broth's spice level right AND give me tender chunks of meat, this noodle dish is outstanding.
Went for dine-in and was blasted with warm air on a 26°C day. Restaurant did not turn on the AC until 20ish minutes after we started eating. They serve everything in take-out containers/utensils for dine-in. Soup and ingredients were filled to the rim, which made it very difficult to eat the noodles. Food tasted mediocre compared to Yunshang and honestly Dagu might be better for service.
affordable and rice dishes come with large portion which is nice however both times I visited their dishes were mostly flavourless and bland unfortunately. Good place if you're looking to fill your stomach on a low budget but flavour is not the best and rice is dry
I ordered through UberEats, and mentioned “ vegetarian option” in spicy soup rice noodles. The restaurant acknowledged it. However, there was minced pork in the noodle like I showed in the picture. I also ordered extra sweet corn for $0.99, and it doesn’t look like it’s extra portion at all. The vegetable skewers were “ buy 1 get 1 free”, but they were soggy and tasteless. I wouldn’t recommend it. Very disappointed with this experience.
If you're not used to northeastern Chinese flavors, the spicy-sour broth might take a bit of getting used to. I liked how smooth the texture of the noodles was, but overall I found my bowl of "golden noodles" just OK. It could do with more pieces of fish and broccoli. I actually enjoyed my braised beef rice more. The beef was tender and flavorful, and the free plum drink was a nice thirstquencher.
Spicy sauerkraut noodle soup. One of the tastiest soups I've ever tried! It was inexpensive and delicious! Excellent service as well. 10/10...YUM!
I recommend the golden soup with beef, mild flavour; it’s really tasty and the soup is nice and rich.
The tomato broth is so good, but the rice noodle is below average.
First impressions appears very contemporary. Pop music and the white bland walls. However very quiet which makes it a decent studying spot. The menu is short but neatly organized. Lot of noodle soup options for both meat and veg varieties. Snack options make good apps. On my visit I got Bone Soup Braised Beef Noodle Soup with a side of fish and beef balls. Soup was very delicious. The broth is quite flavourful. The beef brisket is quite soft, definitely tastes it's been slow cooked. Noodles, plenty of it so no complaints. The meat balls are generally spiced with some hot peppers. I think it works well especially if introduced to the broth. Staff overall is very attentive and kind. One thing threw me off, I was suppose to approach the wait staff for my order rather than them coming to me? Service is definitely fast and quick. Noodles and balls can right now no later than 5-10 minutes. If you live or work in the area, definitely a good stop. Still a fledgling business growing it's wings into the neighbour. Hopefully Mr. Luo is ready to serve the locals.
Tasty soup and rice noodles. I definitely recommend this place and will go there again.
