Great atmosphere & hospitality from the servers.  Drinks & Appetizers came out very quickly.  Fries are done very nicely with very little grease which was a delight.  Portions were great on all servings.  Hamburgers were well cooked as well.  To top it all off the kids had an amazing dessert called Ice Cream Volcano  where the server introduced an element to the bowl causing it to smoke like a volcano around the ice cream.  I will caution attention to the Calamari appetizers had shrimp placed on the bottom.  The calamari wasn't the best I had & tasted like they were frozen rather than fresh.

Everything served at Moxie’s is fresh. They take a little time to prepare the food but the wait is worth. I’ve been to Moxie’s a dozen times and all their servers are friendly and attentive. Love their salad range, calamari, chicken Alfredo and fish and chips. Overall, a good experience. 5 stars for our server Emma :

Great food, fast service and friendly, attentive staff. Can't recommend the Tuna Sushi Stack enough. An explosion of taste in every bite. The Cocorita is absolutely sublime. Hard to stop at just one! Can't wait to go back.

Really good food, ate here three days in a row while in town. The only thing that was disappointing was the calamari, was more chewy/soggy outside than crispy. Lemon Salmon meal was amazing, tuna tacos were delicious, Mahi Mahi was also amazing. Whipped feta appetizer was delicious. Woo woo tini is a fantastic drink. Servers were great, one night I did go a while before asking the server for another drink. Overall a great restaurant and good experiences here :

Food is good & the service is friendly. The burger is juicy. The fish is fresh. The fried are the best we had had throughout our trip to Newfoundland.

On Friday September 24, my friends Renelle, AJ and I dined at Moxie's and it was *excellent*!!! We waited an appropriate amount of time to be seated & were able to sit in the host area, which was great. We could see they were dealing with another customer/issue but it was clear that the staff were all very professional, friendly, and helpful. We waited about 10/15 minutes, tops! We were seated in an awesome booth out in the "cool area with the windows"! : Loved our location. Our Server was Erica who was exceptional - friendly, good energy, & great at her job. Renelle mentioned she had celebrated her 30th birthday that week, & Erica brought us champagne on the house - an amazing start to the night!! We had a delicious appetizer calamari & shrimp, as pictured, yummy drinks, and our meals were also so, so good. Hot, fresh, & plated so nicely. It was all delicious. Later, we were sipping our drinks and the manager, Kirk, came by to say hello. We had a great chat, he was so friendly and was clearly passionate about his job and the restaurant! We saw Kirk again the next morning in the parking lot, just as motivated to work as he was the night before. We loved chatting with him, and we will surely be back sometime! We hope he is there again whenever that is! : Highly recommend Moxie's at the Sandman Hotel in St. John's!! Thanks for a great experience, Moxie's crew!!

Atmosphere is good. Foods good, but not the absolute best so the 4/5.  Steak was fantastic tho.

If it’s even possible to get better. I find the food here has been amazing over the last couple of years. I remember when it first opened I didn’t have quite a good experience but that could’ve been growing pains. I have since been back to the restaurant many times and the quality of the food and service is amazing. The steak rivals that of the keg. They did serve broccolini with their steak but it has been recently replaced with other vegetables. Hopefully they bring back the broccolini soon ;

We were visiting and looking for a place with a few vegan options to grab dinner. They have a whole plant based and vegetarian section of the menu with several fully vegan options and more than can easily be modified to be vegan. The guacamole was great, albeit perhaps a little oily. The black bean tacos were delicious,  but the real show stoppers were the tofu lettuce wraps. The decor is quite nice especially for a place of this size, washrooms were immaculate and nicely appointed, staff was friendly and helpful.

Food and alcoholic beverage were flavorsome. Service was pretty good.  I ordered vegan tacos which came with guac and chips and it all tasted amazing. As well, I ordered a pineapple basil margarita which was stellar.  The menu offered some other really great items. The restaurant was beautiful and spacious.  My company ran into some issues; someone's soda was flat and the other was served their chicken salad with no chicken until they were nearly finished their salad which made it slightly uncomfortable for me and the rest of us while we were all served our proper meals. With that said, the issues were resolved, the servers were friendly and gave explanations and everyone including myself enjoyed the taste of our food.
