Story

Referred to by many as an "Up North atmosphere." Our custom wood building, cafe music, low lighting, and outdoor decor provides the perfect Northern Michigan feeling. The environment is soft and soothing, yet exciting and fun with a vacation/get away feeling. Although our restaurant has a classic simple life vibe, we have 42' flat screen TV's (Always playing the big game). We also have specials such as Friday night all you can eat fish fry, homemade pizza for take out or sit in, and pasties.The best part is that we overlook beautiful Boyne Mountain and have the ability to see the mountain from every window!

Not great. Went with our 3 girls 11, 12 & 13 and told there's no kid menu. Almost all meals are over $15 and our waitress made us feel like beggars asking about kid meals then again asking for extra lemon for our fish, water, etc. Not more than 2 tables occupied at 6:30pm on Saturday night should've been our first clue. Our bill was $100, and we left over $20 tip to show we aren't peasants, but definitely were made to feel like it. I've ate at fancier restaurants that were worth it, this excursion made me feel yucky and I didn't even eat my meal. Shameful. We won't be back and won't recommend to our ski friends downstate.

This place was great. Stopped in while on standby driving for a wedding, and was glad we did. Home cooked meals that you don't leave hungry. Will definitely come back in the future, there was too much on the menu that I want to try.

Own up here so always looking for a good place to eat ( they're hard to find ) Starting several years ago we'd come in the summer and there was no air conditioning, we still ordered the fish and it was good. every year after that they said they were going to get the air fixed and never did. Then the quantities got smaller and the prices got higher. It's not the helps fault, It's the owner...shame on you. Our group won't be back

Pizza was horrible. I would rather make frozen pizza... and at 15 bucks was way over priced. Appetizer we had was burnt pretzels and two day old cheese. Service was decent but not great. This place could be a gold mine but it's clearly managed poorly. When I go out to eat it should rival ....if not be better then what I cook at home. I think my 4 year old could make better food.

Wow!! In 45 mins, we got a table, drinks and placed our order and no food yet! Place was almost empty. I believe starving people in Ethiopia ate before we did. Table was clean, bathroom clean and resturant area we were in clean. Totally ruined our "quick bite" while out shopping trip. Good was hot. Tasted good. Wont be rushing back. Total tome from sitting to getting food was 55 mins!
