Great location with both indoor and outdooe seating overlooking a park across the street. Went to this place on a Saturday afternoon and was busy. The service was quick. Ordered BLT chicken wrap and Reuben whitefish sandwich. Delicious, and the quantity was right for the price.. Definitely recommend.
Quaint little Gastropub overlooking the park. Friendly staff, great bar and extensive menu with a variety of offerings. The whitefish Ruben was excellent- blackened whitefish, Swiss, thousand island dressing and coleslaw with steak fries on the side. We also tried the zucchini fries which were perfectly cooked. They a full bar with a nice offering of beer, wine and cocktails… the Bloody Mary looked awesome, maybe next time.
The food was decent, the restaurant was clean. The waitress wasn't friendly. She actually made a gagging face when asked about some food options. She wouldn't let us split our bill because we had more than 6 people. She never asked us how our food was. Anyone that came in the door was told it was an hour wait. Also our bill had 20% gratuity added to it. I'm glad I saw that before I tipped her anything more.
Good value for your money. The buffalo chicken salad was larger then expected and very good. The maple Sriracha chicken wings were delicious. Server was quick and friendly. Nice atmosphere
Don’t eat here unless your desperate. Food was super meh. I ordered the poe boy, it was recommended by the waitress and it had 4 pieces of shrimp on it. I counted. I didn’t even complain not worth it. Then my wife ordered the French dip sandwich and the overloaded with waaaay to much meat to even eat. Please don’t make the mistake we did. We only went there because black market was closed. Go somewhere else
Burgers, beer, and great atmosphere. This building has been a few different restaurants over the years but I think they found their footing. I'm a creature of habit so I tend to get the same thing. Juicy burger with a local craft beer. They have my two favorites on tap, Oberon and Soft Parade. I like to do a half-n-half of them to make an "Ober-ade." You'll thank me later. I usually sit at the bar for quick service which is friendly. Plus you're right down town what more can you ask for!
I like this place. A lot. This was my third visit spread out over many years, and I really enjoyed the food, atmosphere, service, and fellow diners. Like the City of Charlevoix seems to be, it was relaxed and welcoming. East Park Burger was very good. Grilled Cheese with Bacon was excellent. Salad had green beans in it - which had my group talking for days not because they were good or bad, but just because it was weird that green beans were in the salad. That being said, there are only two reasons I knocked a star off. 1 The place was a little relaxed with adherence to generally accepted COVID protocol -- masks were not always worn by staff, but not obscenely disobedient. And 2 restrooms are on the second floor.
This review is one that has been a long time coming. I am more upset with the establishment and how it has been run overall than anything else. My fiancé and I frequent Charlevoix often and always come here. I got married up in Charlevoix August of this year. July 2021, a year and one month before my wedding, my fiancé and I drove 4 hours upnorth and met with the general manager of the establishment Jaime. We agreed upon renting the third floor for our rehearsal dinner, as well as agreed upon a menu. Jaime told me we were all set and would talk closer to the date. Fast forward to January of 2022, I reached out just to check on things. I talked with a man named Bryan who told me the restaurant was unfortunately under new management, but that my accomodations would nonetheless still be honored. Bryan told me I could no longer have the third floor, but I could have the second floor - as there was a charge now that Jaime was not going to charge me while she was under management. Bryan assured me everything would be all set for my wedding in August 7 months away. I decided because of the events that already took place that I would check in AGAIN with the establishment closer to our wedding. After multiple calls, I finally got ahold of the manager who stated Bryan no longer worked there and that they had no record of my accomodations. I sent Larah my email chains with Bryan now 3 months out from my wedding. Larah explained the establishment would be permanently closing soon due to staffing issues which I can see did not happen. There was no place available at that point in time to have my rehearsal dinner at. I am overall frustrated with my experience with this establishment and its numerous owners. It was an unfortunate event to be happening to someone who made sure to plan everything out accordingly with ample time. We will not be going back!
The burgers were unevenly cooked ranging from raw to overdone in 1 bite. Drink glasses must not be cleaned daily because a yummy dead fly was found in the cocktail.Food: 1/5
Excellent food. Sweet potato fries are the best we have ever had. In house chips with seasoning, buffalo wrap was perfect. Fantastic. Good music, seating, etc.
