I was expecting authentic Portuguese custard. They are good, but not like they are in Portugal. The closest to the original is at Caldense bakeries. If they were priced reasonably at $2.00, I would give it four stars. Not worth the commute. Sorry.
The best Portuguese tart in Toronto! Perfectly Crispy outside and creamy custard inside. Friendly staff. Great location, steps from Yonge & Bloor.
The classic natas are what they should be: eggy-creamy in the middle, crispy-flaky on the crust. When you bite into it, it crunches then oozes. Perfect. Also got the nutella which was too sweet for my taste, and the vegan which was understandably not custard-y enough. The place itself has a nice casual vibe and a good retreat from the bustle of Yonge street. The staff there is the best - welcoming aura and super passionate about the natas. A great stop for a quick treat.
Natas were delicious! Was the perfect levels of sweetness in the tarts. The vibe and ambiance was exquisite. Will definitely be coming back!
Fantastic "Toronto" adaptation of the traditional Portuguese tarts. Nice environment and service.
Pretty hefty prices but drops to 3$ a tart past 9pm. They keep it warm to serve and have multiple flavours.
Must go place!! They have the best Portuguese Natas here! Very authentic and delicious. It won’t disappoint! It also has a cozy environment to do some work.
Nice staff but overly sweet and overly expensive natas that hold up poorly vs the stuff u get in portugal. Got a 6 pack and couldnt get past 2 of them
This is a great location for a light dessert and coffee date, or if you'd like to try a flavor of Portuguese tart you haven't had before like almond. I'll be back to try the "original" but this time I had to try the raspberry variant, which I liked. Another thing to consider is that they have a vegan and non dairy option which I've also never seen before. Someone mentioned in one of these reviews that you can get original Portuguese tarts at a cheaper price in other locations. This is true. You have to take into consideration what it is you're paying for, like with all things.
The natas here are delicious, perfect crispy texture and custard taste amazing A nice place to hangout with friends Some Natas and coffee
