So happy that a new Italian bakery opened up in my neighborhood. They offer everything from fresh baked delicacies, bread, groceries, a deli table and a hot table. I love that their bread is freshly baked and made daily. I tried their hot table and was very happy with the veal and rappini. Lots of flavor and served hot! They also have a large variety of freshly baked goods and offer everything from donuts, pies, cakes and pastries. Stop by their deli and have one of their bodega style sandwiches made today, you won't be disappointed!
I’m writing another review for this little bakery, because I know it deserves to have people know how Amazing it is. First off if you have written a bad review on this place, than it’s because you have no patience and no idea how hard it is to be in the service business, especially in the times we are in now. It’s a small family run business. They have been operating for a year, renovating and opening during the pandemic. As all businesses need time to get the wheels turning, work out the kinks and find a rhythm to make things run smoothly. So maybe you may have to wait a bit longer to get service. Maybe you might witness an employee feel the pressure, having to hustle a bit to serve a group of people that all just want to get in and get out. People have to remind themselves to be kind, have some compassion and respect. This place does have many great things. They take part in their community by getting to know their regulars. If not by name, then by order. They contribute back into the community by hosting neighbourhood events. If you know this bakery, then you know Santa was there on Dec 4th. Along with live music, hot chocolate and cake handed out, and they even brought a smoker to roast chestnuts. And to all that came to visit and engage with one another, it brought a beautiful warmth and joy that Christmas has to offer this time of year. You don’t find that often. I have made this bakery a 2-3 times a week stop. There are folks that drop by as a daily routine. People have made friends here, meet up with friends here and you can have pleasant conversation with other folks too. The food is great. Always something to pick from either the deli, the hot table, baskets of baked goods and treats, grocery items, fresh baked goodies, special imports and with Christmas around the corner panettoni’s of all sorts, gift baskets, special teas, coffees, small gifts etc. There are endless choices Pop in relax stay a few mins. There’s lots to take in.
Great new Italian bakery in the neighbourhood ~ fresh donuts, cookies, pies, danishes, cakes & more! I bought sugar chocolate cream filled donuts, lathe eclairs and blueberry cheese + strawberry cheese danishes on my 1st visit ~ fresh and not overly fried or sugary. Apparently donuts disappear quick, so get there early. For such an early start, they already have plenty of repeat patrons. Happy to see them there & will be back
They bake really great breads, pastries, and many other things. I get the Carrot muffins when they come out of the oven, wow fantastic and good balance in sweetness! They also have cooked food, love the calamaries!
Love this new Bakery. You can get hot food for takeout, get a fresh sandwich made on the spot, and a bunch of deserts that will satisfy that sweet tooth and of course they have lots of bread made fresh daily.
There are no words to express how great it is to have an amazing Italian bakery so close to home. Montesanto Bakery is always stocked with the best Italian favourites and much, much more…their hot table is always fresh and delicious. The calamari, prosciutto, arugula and fresh mozzarella sandwich, and eggplant parmigiana are my favourite! It holds a great selection of deli meats and fresh bread which is always on my list for my weekly shop. In addition to the food, the owners are always organizing seasonal events which are free to attend to enjoy music, tasters etc. The most recent event which was for Christmas, Santa visited and they had a beautiful set up where each child had a chance to sit on Santa’s lap and take some photos- all free! If you are looking for good food, quality ingredients, friendly staff and a great selection of Italian products you must try Montesanto Bakery!
I've had the pleasure of working at Montesanto Bakery and it has truly been a wonderful experience. The team is so welcoming and supportive including the owner's Rita and Fabio who work so hard to ensure customer's have an amazing experience. The attention to detail and dedication to quality is evident. I highly recommend this bakery to anyone in the area looking for delicious baked goods and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
This little gem in Etobicoke is by far one of the best bakeries around. I’ve used them for both catering private dinners and small event catering as well. They never disappoint! Food and pastries are fresh & delicious! Five stars all around. Customer service is also 5 Very friendly, and engaging staff.
Best bakery in the city! Fresh bread, tasty pastries, and a mouth watering hot table. The staff are super friendly and professional. The owner goes out of her way to make her staff and customers feel appreciated and valued. Highly recommend Montesanto bakery 11/10!!
I moved to the neighborhood about 3 weeks ago and was delighted to find out that this bakery is minutes away on foot. My boyfriend and I have already become regulars. We have tried many things, but I particularly love the muffins even though everything is delicious. The place is almost always busy whenever we go, which is for good reason. Thank you to the staff for always being so welcoming and helpful!
