Everyone knows Jeff is the best in the business, so no need to add to that. But the environment here is so great, him and his team are all amazing people. It makes tattooing feel so much more relaxed when everyone just have genuine conversations throughout the sessions. And everyone has their own style and are good at what they do.

Disheartened by the way Gobang GoGo treated me. Despite providing immediate notice for a medical emergency, Gobang proceeded to keep my initial deposit and then demanded for another one. Never clarified that cancellations especially due to a family medical emergency can result in a loss of a deposit. In addition, I have informed Gobang about my skin condition and sensitivity around my belly and side areas yet he still continued to hit the area without my consent leaving me in utter pain and agony for weeks on end. Side note: Extremely difficult to work with. Nothing but excuses… full lack of clear communication. Shading, techniques and work ethic does not match his acclaimed 20+ year history. Relies on 100% stencils which is 100% not worth his asking price! Attn: difficulty with straight lines eg. Wind-bars, shading is very poorly done unless it’s a solid colour, true master Japanese artists draw on your body; seldom use stencils.

All the artists are super nice . Louie is doing my chest piece and it’s looking amazing at the halfway point . Will post a pic of the finished tattoo .

Clean and family friendly! That’s right! I just said that about a tattoo place! Honestly, the people here are welcoming and as long as you have parent permission, a minor can get their tattoo here! My almost-70-year-old mom got matching tattoos with my sister, my sister’s friend, and my sister’s friend’s daughter my sister’s god daughter - yes, it was a special family affair! Two moms with their daughters getting tattoos : The tattoo artists didn’t mind that we were there watching and waiting for our fam. In fact, there’s lots of seating in the lobby! I’m telling you - super welcoming! Thank you Monkey King Tattoo for a memorable experience for our friends and family

I had my second treatment for tattoo removal today, about 1.5 years from the first. Tattoo faded substantially after the first treatment. I'll keep you posted on, how much the second treatment fades in a few months. I think one more to go in about 7 months. Scott is super nice and does a great job. He said best to wait at least 6 to 7 months minimum between treatments for best results. The shop is clean with a friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended! :

First time getting a tattoo..... excellent experience. Phil was awesome in bringing my idea to fruition. Very clean and welcoming place. Because of Phil, I'm already thinking about getting my next tattoo by him. Thank you Phil!!!

i have got a full sleeve and am in the process of another full sleeve from the artist Dejan Furlan here and am never disappointed with his work, he is an absolutely amazing artist! the entire shop is friendly and clean, everyone here is extremely talented and the personal level of service here is unmatched anywhere else in town I have been to quite a few shops in the city. I will definitely be back, I still have a lot of blank canvas on my body and plan on filling it all up here!

I just finished up the first half of my sleeve with Phil philkwantattoo on Instagram and I am extremely happy with every aspect of my experience with Monkey King Tattoo and Phil. The vibe of the shop was relaxing, inviting and professional. I was also very impressed with how clean and orderly the entire facility was. All of the tattoo artists were hospitable and they treated me as a friend; not just a client. Additionally, the work that I saw coming from the other artists was absolutely phenomenal. During my appointments I had the privilege of watching them create incredibly high quality full back pieces, sleeves and leg pieces. In my opinion Phil’s art is unparalleled due to his creativity, technique and skill. It is clear to me that he puts his heart and soul into every piece that he creates and I believe that it shows in his portfolio check out his Instagram!. Phil took the concept that I presented to him, made some great suggestions to improve on the design and then completely knocked the execution of the piece right out of the park. It’s an understatement when I say that I was totally astounded by the finished product. Beyond his ability to create one of a kind show stopping art, Phil is a genuinely good person who is easy to be around. Not once did it cross my mind that an appointment was running too long or that I just wished that I could be done and get out of the shop. He was laid back yet attentive and the conversation flowed as if he were an old friend. I am looking forward to completing my sleeve with Phil as well as planning additional future projects with him. 10/10 would recommend Phil or any of the other artists at Monkey King Tattoo to anybody looking to get a distinctive tattoo.

Very welcoming atmosphere and talented artists. If your looking for large Japanese peices this is the place to go for sure. Been around forever and you'll know why by the work they produce and also their kindness.
