Money Creek Campground

Pros: Pretty forested area along a bend in the river. Campsites are moderately private. Potable water pumps. Good pit toilets under the circumstances. Seems to have less mosquitoes than other sites. Cons: Noise from the nearby road and railroad is very significant. Check in isn't as smooth as it should be - the host comes around even after you've paid and you have to stop what you're doing and fill out the same information again after he confirms it. Zero honor system basically.

Only stay here if you're a heavy sleeper!!!!! The train tracks were literally 50 feet away from our tent (Site 14) and we got woken up at 3am to a train barreling its way down the tracks. They blew the horn right as they're going past us! Great location and good price but this might be a deal breaker for some.

Campground was awesome. We had a few miscommunication issues at first with the camp host Hugh but it all got straightened out, he comes across a little gruff but is a good guy. 😊 saw a Bear and Cougar our first night here. So don't leave food out! Awesome picture opportunities!

What a beautiful campground! The river was amazing, however it was loud during the night. The host was very friendly!! Im giving four stars because the train blew its wistle about every thirty minutes which meant little sleep. Lovely place to pass through!

I've never been here when it was open, but there are plenty of places to park and pitch a tent. Beautiful area
