The food was really good. Service was pretty good even though they were very busy. They have a call button for service. Only a QR code at the entrance for the menu so thankfully I had data on my phone and was able to order. We really liked the bulgogi and cheese corn and sweet potato noodles. Stood waiting for a table at the front door for what felt like 10 minutes before a staff member approached us. I have never had that happen before but at 8pm on a Monday it looked like absolutely every table was full.
Great place for korean BBQ, around $35 for buffet per person which is totally worth it. Choose wisely in buffet, don't opt for much cooking, otherwise time consuming. Also, tried their corn cheese and ttetboki multiple times, love them.
Upsides: Service was friendly and quick Food was pretty good Downsides: Lots of menu items unavailable Items not as described Sauces available We went here as a group for 4 for the BBQ deal. Getting in and being seated was all slick, and the host did a great job of explaining how the ordering worked. We placed a few orders and enjoyed most of the food. Some things didn't come as described- like spring rolls 4pc came as a 2pc for the four of us. We just added it to the next order but it's still better to stick to the menu. We found this for a few items- it didn't matter what number I put next to the sweet potato noodles, we got the same small dish of them. Highlights were the bulgolgi, small octopus and noodles with sweet sauce. The sauce situation wasn't great- there were two on the menu and eventually we asked for a hot sauce and they brought a bottle. Seemed like something that should be on the table or on the menu. Many of the alcoholic beverages were unavailable, we could only really get the plain soju. Overall not bad, but not slick either.
Pretty enjoyable experience overall, I think it's a great concept if you want to bring someone who never went, as they get to try a bunch of different foods. It is about 40$ per person, all you can eat. They also require the vax passport and follow sanitary measures to a T! One fairly big downside when I went is that they would never get our order right. We were missing items we ordered or received the wrong ones, one item in particular we tried to order maybe 3 times and we never got--maybe the item was unavailable, but it would've been nice to let us know! Service was a bit slow, but I think they were understaffed on the night I went, so it's alright.
I love the food and the atmosphere. You have two hours to eat as much as you can. You also pay extra if you waste a certain amount of food. I like the concept since it minimizes waste. However, I noticed that the servers take a longer time to bring your orders as times goes by. They become slower and slower, and sometimes even forget you ordered something. I feel like it's a technique to save money as we would eat much more if they were faster. I have eaten there three times so far and I've noticed it every time. Nonetheless, I love the food so much I don't really care. I just order a lot right when I arrive.
We called in advance and asked if they had space for two. They confirmed over the phone that they did but when we arrived, we still had to wait outside in a long line up and we didn’t have as reservation on a Tuesday night. After being seated on the second floor after waiting for around 10-20 minutes outside, we didn’t get water served to us until we asked. We requested napkins and we didn’t get them until we remind the staff about it 2-3 times. I understand that it’s difficult to climb the stairs for service. Maybe there’s something that can be done about that. Maybe open the kitchen upstairs also. Just an idea. The food was delicious and everything went well otherwise. From the photos, everything was fresh and tasty. Great temperature for the simplicity of the dumplings and the ramen. Delicious kimchi and side sauces. We had the all you can eat portion and I left feeling full. Fully recommend the marinated everything. Edamame was fully cooked and well salted. Food wise, it was a hit! Enjoyed every bite of the meal even though I had to shell my own shrimp. Recommend the soju mojito and I noticed how clean everything was before we sat down. They take time and care into cleaning. I can appreciate it. I will go back to this restaurant again. Only if I’m in the mood.
All you can eat is not my type however this concept work well when you eat with co-workers, less headache for everyone when splitting the bill. When this place opened before Covid time, it was good however with our most recent visit, the quality is not the same. My guess is they could change the owner and the whole kitchen, the flavour is not Korean anymore. Same Mon-Ami name but nothing close to regular Mon-Ami restaurant. The place still clean, staff is nice and fast. They did ask for vaccine passport. Same price for every day of the week $35/adult.
It was my first visit to the restaurant. I didn't expect the location to be spacious but it has booths on the first floor and tables for larger groups up on the second floor. The service was great because the staff was kind and courteous. Servers took requests and made our experience comfortable. The food items were yummy. Portions are 100g each for meats and sides, so if you do go in a group, don't hesitate to order a lot. The menu is accessed by QR Code, so make sure you have data on your phone to see it. I did not ask if the restaurant had physical menus. Sodas are included in the meal as you can order them from the menu. I'd recommend this location to eat some kbbq.
Was overall a nice experience. Luckilly didn't have to wait outside like some did. I liked the corn cheese and some meat like the bbq pork. The pre cooked sweet chicken was unfortunately cold. The sushi and the deep fried rice cakes were so so. A bit pricey. Not a fan of the mostly "new or recent" rap playlist they had.
When I was there, the staff was amazing! They were attentive and quick to a answer. The place is clean and the food is pretty good. Service is fast even when there's a lot of people. It's impressive honestly. They also will tweak recipes for you if you say you have allergies. I'll probably return here. I'm guessing maybe something changed in the last few months? Maybe they hired more staff?
