Mommas Fish & Chips

Came here after camping for 3 days. Just what we were looking for: Casual place. Friendly. Good food. Decent prices. Fish was good. Fresh cut fries with malt vinegar were delicious and you get a huge serving of them. Hot tea with honey rounded off the meal. I would return when I'm back in the area and looking for casual grub or classic fish and chips!

We were getting ready to leave Bracebridge today and decided to grab a bite to eat before hitting the road. I drove by and the sign out front caught my attention. It said fish and chips but it also said they have a gluten-free option as well! Well I have not had good fish and chips in over a year and a half. We absolutely had to try it. It did not disappoint at all. I would never have been able to tell the difference between regular fish and chips and the gluten-free ones. The building is old but the owner is lovely and took the time to tell me that they use a separate fryer, and the process to get to the recipe she uses. They even have a choice of fish because it is all hand battered and made with fresh fish. There was a choice of haddock, halibut, perch, and even pickerel. Often going to small towns it is hard to find many options for someone like myself that is gluten-free. If you are in Bracebridge even if you aren't gluten-free stop by for some delicious fish and chips.

My Hankering for Fries and Halibut took me to Momma's. What a generous serving of fish. The fries were good. The people are nice and the service is fast. I'll be coming back no problem.

Great fish and chips along with wonderful proprietors. Motorcycled there were early for opening time but they brought us in anyway. Wonderful people.

Just got take out from this restaurant this evening. Very disappointing. Batter was way overcooked and portions were very small...I'm tiny and don't eat much. Portions were kiddie sized. Not value for money
