Came here for dinner with friends and we had the most lovely server. Her name was Elsa and she was quick, friendly, and super helpful. The food was absolutely amazing and the environment was really cozy. I could not have better things to say about this restaurant. Come here for relaxed, delicious food, and warm, friendly service!
Came here for a later breakfast around 10:45am. The wait was about 10 minutes for a table as they are very busy. The place is lovely with nice decor and open and sunny feeling. The food was delicious and fresh. The prices are very reasonable as well. The service was good; albeit a little slow, due to the busyness. Overall a great place for breakfast, and definitely worth the wait! Edit: Came back a week later for a later brunch and there was no wait time at all on a Friday. Yay! The food was just as good and the service was fantastic. Definitely a place you want to come back to!
Great breakfast diner just before heading into Midland. The restaurant looked like something out a 70’s movie with red brick and a cozy wood panel interior. The food tasted home cooked and the portion size was abundant. Loved the friendly hospitality and fast service.
This was a delightful experience. I used to come here almost every weekend when I was a kid. We stayed at the Wye Heritage Marina or Bayfort Camp Grounds and would cone for breakfast. It's been almost 20 years since I was here last and even though the owners changed, the food and interior is just how I remembered it!! Minus the hockey memorabilia. I had the mum's signature special home fries, 2 eggs toast and bacon. It was absolutely delicious The owner went around to all the tables and greeted everyone. Even though they are short staffed and running around everyone is super friendly. Our waitress forgot her name but had pretty stripped nails, was super friendly. I can't wait to go back and I really hope it's in the near future!!! Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs Parking: Lots of parking in front of the restaurant
Such a nice place, lovely people, yummy dinner and old fashioned style. Oldies but goodies. Amazing. My first time but not my last. Great place.
Ordered the full rack of ribs, it was delicious , fish and chips were delicious and crisp and fish was flaky . Elsa was the waitress who served me, amazing 10/10 service. We will be back if we ever visit from toronto
Amazing hearty hungry person breakfast. 3 Scrambled eggs, 2 sausage, 3 pieces of side bacon, 2 back bacon, home fries with a side of rye toast. Nice and hot coffee, great ambience and service. Will definitely be back to this gem!
I used to go here years and years ago for my grandparents anniversary every year. Went here with my mom and we had lunch. This is quite a bit for the special peameal bacon on a bun and I chose the chicken rice soup. Quite good!
I wish I could give it 6 stars. Brought my parents to Midland to visit family. They're eaten here in the past and loved it. I heard about it through a FB inquiry about a good place to eat in Midland. We came for brunch just today. Everything was absolutely perfect. We were quickly seated by a nice young lady. We were then greater by the owner once seated. Mad respect sir, that's old school appreciation for your guests. Our tea and coffee followed, orders were taken and our meal was graciously placed before us in such a timely manner, we didn't even have one more tummy growl. Everything was cooked absolutely perfect and so delicious. Now, loud atmospheres are not favorable for my Dad who's sporting hearing aids. Well the oldies were playing on such a respectable volume, both my parents were commenting/complimenting and enjoying the music. From the time we entered to the time we left, everyone was so welcoming and warm. The young lady who greeted and seated us, thanked us and wished us well as we were leaving. Great job by the whole team. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in town and bring the whole fam.
My husband and I, love this place. The atmosphere is perfect. It's cozy and friendly and the retro music in the background is just right. The service is second to non. Well trained staff are Friendly and very helpful. They'd 'bend over backwards' to assist/help you. The only criticism I have is that I'm vegan, and there are no vegan or even vegetarian options on the menu. It's quite a dated menu. But a really nice place to visit.
