Payed $4.00 dollars more for same number of burnt scallops as the person across from me who also got fries and coleslaw , no explanation. What a rip off. Not recommended, under any circumstances.
My wife and I enjoyed a great lunch here. We both had the Lebanese dishes and really enjoyed them. Our complaints to the staff who are friendly and pleasant. We recommend Mo's as an excellent stop for good food.
Had fish and chips here for dinner last week with my father, we were served immediately and the food came out promptly. Good price , good quality, good portion size. What more can a guy ask for.
Amazing food! We stopped here on our way back from Scarecrow festival in Mahone Bay. The place is nothing fancy but the food speaks for itself - amazing! I ordered the seafood chowder + may go down as the BEST seafood chowder I have had. No artificial thickeners - pure milk and delicious seafood. The flavour was rich and seafood, milky without being heavy. It was served with garlic bread and saltines, side of coleslaw. BEST meal in the restaurant. CANNOT wait to here again!
Been here several times now and the food is the usual diner type of food. I had the seafood chowder the latest time, and I think I ordered the same last time. I can honestly say I think the chowder was delicious although my mother thought they had "left out an onion" and I watched her add salt to her meal for the first time ever. She also asked what "that grass stuff" was all over the top of the chowder. Poor Mom. : The main problem I have here is that the service is always extremely slow and the waiter gives the impression of being very aloof and inattentive. We had to wait for a painfully long time to get two very small bowls of chowder, which I assume was probably ready before we walked in the door. I also remember we had to wait a really long time the last time we were there. When I go to a restaurant with my mother, she struggles to get in with her canes. I'm unimpressed when the host or waitress sees us entering with Mom struggling, but gestures beyond the nearby free tables and suggests we take a table at the far end of the restaurant. Try to take notice of your customers, folks. They do a regular take out business, which I assume helps, and it seems the locals really like them.
Love the food and the service. Real family business.
I'm not one to complain but I have never had as bad as service as I got at Mo's Grill & Dinning Room around Chester Basin in NS. They sell Fritou chicken which THEY give a bad name because they do not know how to cook it. My 3 pc chicken meal was barely touch because of how black it was and it was just crumbling. I also ordered a Sub for take out which I did not even take a bite as it was also burned and I just didn't want to put that in my mouth. Worse was the very slow service. After 55 minutes my wife nicely ask the server "We've been here almost an hour and we still have not food" his answer was "It' hasn't been and hour" in a rude way. No "sorry for the wait" I could not believe a server could be that rude in a restaurant. No Stars for this place.
Food was OK but by no means awesome. I would only go back if there was no other option. Staff not real friendly either the server had an attitude. I will say that the large Mo hamburger was good.
Very well done renovation, the result is a brand new, smaller dining room. Fish and Chips very good, service fast and friendly, and prices very reasonable. Five stars.
The halibit steak was very large and tasted great. At $16 I couldn't buy a steak that size at the store. Great friendly staff too. Very happy with Mo's.
