Took my grandson today at the last minute. They were, fortunately, able to take him. Russell did an absolutely AMAZING job on him. Being a preteen, he’s become very picky about his hair. Russell took the time to listen to what he wanted and totally followed through. He was also so kind and fun and chatted about everything my grandson threw his way. Thank you so much!Service: Haircut

This was my first haircut in Boston, so I was bit anxious. But Tamara handled it so well and gave me an amazing haircut. She is a very kind and friendly person. I would highly recommend her!!

Been there twice, and they're great! Both haircuts have been exactly what I've asked for and I haven't had any of the stylists try to convince me of doing something else or sell me extra products, etc. My one gripe is the price. I expect a haircut with no extras to be around $100, especially in the financial district-but both my cuts have been $120+. $20 doesn't seem like it makes a lot of difference, but when adding a tip for the stylist it's a pretty hefty price. The short version: Stylists will do an amazing job and are happy to give you exactly what you ask for, but be prepared to pay a little extra.

I was a first time client of Mitchell John Salon yesterday. It was an amazing experience. The woman who worked her magic and was very knowledgeable. I had asked questions before hand on cost and I paid what I expected to pay. I have already made an return appointment for the holidays. All the staff was very nice and the salon was amazing looking.

The woman who did my hair was AMAZING! Such a great color and would 100% recommend her. However, when I booked my appointment I was told it would be 30% off because I was a first-time client, and then they charged me full-price. When I questioned them on this, the front desk woman gave me 10% off, but I didn't notice until I paid. Then when I checked my receipt I once again questioned why it was this price and she said "well, you already paid, so not much I can do now." I then gave her my number and asked her if she could confirm with the manager why I was charged full price and if I could receive store credit/money back, and was never followed up with, so will not be going back to them. So overall, great place to get your hair done, but disappointing customer service, and don't trust any "discounts" they offer.

Booked two appoints for hair to be washed and blow dried. Was told on the phone the cost would be $60 each. When I went to pay, the bill was $165. I was told one of the stylists actually charged $85 for a blowout and, while the other did charge $60, it was an extra $20 for a curling iron. We were never alerted to either of these things in advance. While each of our stylists Daniella and Megan were friendly, professional and did a great job on our hair, I find it unprofessional that we weren't alerted to the extras in advance. The receptionist was unapologetic that we hadn't been given this information.

I've been going care for 15 years and will never go anywhere else! Mitch is pricey but he's the best! My hair has stayed healthy and beautiful over the years thanks to him! Highly recommend!

Meghan is the best colorist around for sure she slowly took me from chocolate brown to blonde and my hair stayed healthy. Eric cuts my hair and it last forever! Side note I have a ton of hair so not super easy!

I can't say enough good things about Mitchell John. I've had my hair cut by Eric multiple times, and Tori did my wedding hair back in October. Everyone here is amazing and I walk out feeling like a million bucks every time I go in.
