Saw this place on TikTok and decided to check it out. Tried the Oreo S’mores Ice Cream Bar. For me it was a little bit too much going on. Flavour was good, just overwhelming sweet. I would likely recommend sharing with someone. Will definitely return to try the many unique ice cream flavours offered here though

Mister is known for their creative, stand-out ice cream treats. They us blow torches and liquid nitrogen when making their desserts. It’s quite gimmicky. Yet, despite being famous and located in the heart of Yale town, it’s still surprisingly hard to find. The storefront is tiny and unassuming. It’s like a little hole in the wall. I really liked the crème brûlée ice cream sandwich I got. The exterior had a crunchy caramel coating, and the ice cream was actually really light. The liquid nitrogen makes the texture different than normal ice cream, but it also makes it less creamy. I would say it’s worth trying but not my favourite ice cream joint. It’s also really expensive. The desserts cost between $7-$11 plus tip. You are definitely paying for the blow torching. Overall, give it a shot and you’ll enjoy it. It’s just not the best ice cream ever.

It was a unique collection of flavors! We had the mint strawberry sandwiches dipped in matcha. The sandwich has a graham cracker crust consistently. It was a great combo and a fun twist on the original ice cream sandwich. It's not a creamy ice cream, so it holds its shape and doesn't drip/make a mess.

While strolling through Yaletown, we noticed a long line at this shop and were curious about what it was. When we discovered it was an ice cream shop, we joined the line and now we’ve been back two more times. There’s usually a line, even at closing time, but it’s absolutely worth the wait. You definitely need to try one of their ice cream concoctions. We’ve tried their crème brûlée cup, strawberry mint and bananas foster ice cream sandwiches, and Nanaimo ice cream bar flavours, but they have so many more unique ones that they rotate.

I had the s'mores bar for the first time. I like the novelty and the thought that went into the different components of the dessert. Ultimately I came for good ice cream on a hot day and was disappointed by how icy the actual ice cream part of the bar was and how every other part overshadowed it instead of complementing it. My friend had the pineapple ice cream cup and said it was really good so I think next time I'll stick to their regular ice cream.

Delicious Ice Cream Flavours! I love that it’s too overly sweet and that it tastes super fresh. My friend got the crème brûlée and I got the oreo ice cream sandwich. I’d say the only thing is that their ice cream sandwich had way too much ice cream in it, but overall good experience and I look forward to going back again!

We had the Creme Brûlée Ice-cream Sandwich; it was awesome! A real fresh twist to eating ice-cream. This is a tiny outfit with almost no seating area more of a take-out joint. Mister serves unusual ice-cream concoctions. We were impressed with the variety but in terms of quality, nothing to rave about. It was a good experience but not somewhere worth re-visiting. Fanfare type of dessert place.

If you are looking for an ice cream packed full of flavor and cream, visit this place! We came here after dinner, and it was such a wrong idea since their typical serving is enough to fill half of your stomach. It is that dense!

I honestly really like this place! I feel like they're known for their creme brulee ice cream and ice cream sandwich, so if you opt for the other flavors that might be why this place doesn't have high ratings? The creme brulee tastes just like the dessert and they even sprinkle icing sugar and torch it. The ice cream sandwich is in between two Oreo crusts and its also torched on the sides. Super delicious! There is no indoor seating due to covid so you have to wait in line as there is also only 6 people max inside.

BEST ICE CREAM I’VE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. I got the strawberry crème brûlée ice cream because the lady in front of me ordered it and I thought it looked interesting. The whole process of making the ice cream and looking at the staff put nitrogen and mixing it was an experience! It was like paying for a mini performance. I’ve previously eaten at stores offering nitrogen ice cream and found nothing special with the taste. Mister, however, takes ice cream to a whole new level. IT WAS SO DAMN SMOOTH, I wanted seconds but didn’t get it because the line-up was too long. If you’re an ice cream fanatic or a tourist visiting Vancouver, you have to check out Mister.
