Miss Dee's Restaurant & Saloon

I've been going here a looonng time.....for a lot of years and have never encountered a bad experience until this night 12/26/22, stayed til close, and it was the worst. First thing, the barmaid on duty that night was unattentive and obviously only focused on the men at the bar. She was very distracted by some Que's that were in the building; so much so my friends and I left her bar and started ordering our drinks which we perfect from the front bar! I don't know if she even noticed, but I'm almost sure she didn't care . Secondly, the food we ordered was bad, the wings hit every time but the sides... mac&cheese and greens tasted like they came straight out the can. A friend also had the bad tasting sides w/ meatloaf and says it the meatloaf was basic and didn't taste like it's normal good quality. I'm not sure what's going on, if there's a new cook or what but I was disappointed by night at Geno's, for the first time.

My wife, called many a days to have her 55 birthday party there recommended by me. 6 days in someone did give a call back. And told her she can come there , but when we arrived and gotten settled the security approach the party and quickly began asking if she called . After that a young male came to the table and proceeded with the same processes that the security did, that's when I the person paying the bill. Asked what's the problem because I know for a fact that she called with no answer and voicemail full. The lady that did return the call was pleasant. It seems like management is not handling the booking process. Still a fun place for friends to meet.

This place is a hole in the wall we were looking for soul food but had to pay a 10.00 charge just to get in..turns out it was some kinda party going on I mean talk about false advertisement..couldn't get a drink and where was the foodFood: 1/5

The greens were tasteless, Mac and cheese had no cheese Cat filet was super salty.Comes with a corn pancake not a good replacement for corn bread.Food: 2/5

Miss Dee's soulfood is Also known as Genos bar & lounge. You will most definitely have ball in here on Thurs ,Fri,Sat & sun. It's a great after work spot to drink good and eat good. All the food is delicious.The women that be in there are gorgeous. The Bar tenders pour great drinks, they're not stingy with the liquor. They have a smoking tent out back to smoke your cigars & that oooowee! No hookahs sorry. They have great parking available. One of my favorite places to frequent.

I’m sitting here right now as I review it’s been 20 mins and they still haven’t even taken my order and nobody else is here to eat just people at bar . We was givin two folded up reused paper menus . It’s taking forever customer service is horrible

The food use to be great. But, now they use to much salt and the fish and chicken be fried to hard.

This was my favorite soul food place until 6 days ago... I had ordered a chopped steak dinner for dine in and also it was my birthday week, I had been wantin soul food for weeks so I decided to treat myself. I sat there for almost a hour before someone came to help me. And even then no one had come to help me. I had to go stand in the kitchen door to get someones attention before my order was taken... By this time I had been there a hour and a half... But by hour 2 I had seen people that came in after me getting their food brought to their table... So I had to go back and stand in the kitchen door again and ask... Did I need to have a male companion in order to get my food... Cause it seem as though couples order were bein taken and brought out quick... Now it's almost 2 and a half hours and still my food wasn't brought out... So at 2 and half hours I finally got my food I know I should've left‍ but I didn't she brought my food everythin was hot which is always good... Until I get to da macaroni and cheese... It was ice cold ... So I told the waitress that had took my order while I stood in the kitchen door...she took it back... And brought a new one... The 2nd one was colder than the last... So the 3rd time I walked to da kitchen door and threw it on the counter explaining that this will be my 3rd Mac n cheese... How is it possible that all of them were cold... At dis point I'm 3 hrs and I'm hungry... I just packed the food up and left and explained if this 3rd Mac n cheese was cold I have a microwave at home... It's cool... But my biggest issue was that no one ...tried, asked nor attempted to compensate my food ; after multiple major inconveniences ‍ cause my time definitely couldn't be compensated for; Worst bday week experience of my life‍

Enjoyable atmosphere. Everyone was friendly and made you feel at home. The host included everyone in whatever activity was going on at the time. I really enjoyed myself. Highly recommended.

It was cool. Macaroni was dry tho. Greens was bitter but it quenched my thirst for soul food. Keep in mind it is a full blown club/bar so if you coming to party its gonna pair well together. But alone its better options around
