This school is filled to the brim with rich kids. If you're NOT wealthy or super smart in honors programs, you're in the 25% like me at school. Although I'm a B student as a sophomore, it's obvious how much more honors kids are showcased at school while kids in mostly general classes for their grade are not. Have you ever seen a "senior showcase" without some sort of honors kid? I think not. Our principal is pretty cool. He keeps things running and tries to keep the environment fun for everyone while everyone is doing well. We're encouraged to participate in activities and be the best we can be. He also used to be a Spanish teacher which is cool. The classes here are large and clean but as a result of overcrowding each class has usually 30+ students. Parking is also a nightmare here (you've gotta drop $300 if you actually WANT to park here as a student) and it fills up quickly. Stop spending money on sports venues and actually expand your god awful parking lot! Lots of sports programs. They're pretty good at what they do, homecoming is always fun to watch. Pep fest is fun but usually people leave depending on the way to transport out. If you're into sports do those! Lots of things to do here but my experience as a student has dimmed light. Also, first mates is possibly the worst thing I've ever seen at a high school. (Everyone I've talked to agrees it's dumb and unnecessary...) Good luck freshman, you're all in for a ride! (Fyi don't spend all your money on the banana bread it's not even that good)

It sucks save yourself don't go here EDIT: Are you rich, conservative, christian, getting good grades, and in line to inherit your family's expensive company? Then this is the school for you. Otherwise, you will start hating your life by going here.

EDIT: Completely rewrote review to truly express my opinions. Minnetonka High School represents the absolute worst of the American education system. Never in my entire life have I seen such disgusting, apathetic, and pathetic staff members of any school. The administration is a joke, loudly echoing to themselves that they really know what the students need, while ignoring actual requests, in addition to lying, and changing rules whenever they see fit. The rest of the staff are mostly old, unhelpful, and unfriendly, often being sarcastic, rude, and outright hostile to parents and students alike. A school should not employ staff members who insult the reading ability of students when they're checking out books at the library, yet it is a frequent occurrence. Those who find themselves with Individualized Education Programs, which are documents made by both the student and school administration, outlining accommodations that helps a student function better, should they have a mental, or physical ailment, will also find these documents continually voided and disregarded by the school administration, who are more interested in upholding their perverse, twisted sense of moral integrity, than in helping students be successful. Though the almost obsessive presence on Twitter, and the inclusion of iPads in the school curriculum would lead one to assume that the school administration is in touch with the needs and desires of their student body, and are willing to communicate with them online. This could not be further from the truth. Student's desires are completely forgotten in the name of keeping up the aforementioned visage of in touch-ness. Students have in fact been punished for advocating change in a respectful, non inflammatory way in the past. The school is also rampant with students equipped with their very own electronic cigarettes, which they will often puff on in class, or more commonly, in the bathrooms, leaving a scent of supersaturated, artificial fruit throughout the entire school. Minnetonka High School is a disgusting, corrupted husk of what a school should be. Instead of assisting and aiding students during a critical time of their lives, the administration instead chooses focus all it's time in keeping up its picture perfect white, suburban image of cleanliness and respect. It is an absolute travesty that so many students suffer here on a weekly basis.
