Beautiful restaurant, spotless kitchen, friendly staff. Delicious fresh bun bowls got devoured before we could snap a pic. One small knock is they were out of a few items but we found something amazing!
This is not your typical Vietnamese restaurant. It is "fancy Vietnamese" meaning more focus on presentation, ingredients, & decor, but you also pay more for it. They use organic ingredients and the food is quite tasty. I was turned off by the mediocre service and being charged $2 for hoisin their justification being that the sauce is made in-house. Typical meal is $12-$16. Doesn't have the charm of a cheap, run-down, family restaurant but despite this, we might come back one day.
Went in on a Friday, it wasn't particularly busy but the service was soo slow! When my dish lemongrass chicken finally came, despite it being a noodle dish, it was mostly a bland bowl of lettuce. Their redeeming fact was their lime juice is delicious! Bummer the same can't be said about the food. Other party members had good meals though, so maybe just avoid their noodle bowls.
Food was good. Service was not. Had to ask for cutlery, twice because they didn't bring enough for everyone at the table. Had to ask for napkins. Had to ask for water. They ran out of rice just In time for our meals, offered vermicelli or bread instead for one of the plates, the other defaulted to noodles - no options. One of our plates was missed, had to flag a waitress, ours was MIA, no follow-up. Finally, the COOK served our plate. Compensation was 10%, 1.80$. No thank you, no apologies. Big disappointment.
Hands down worst bowl of Pho I've ever had. The broth was bland, the meatballs were disgusting and they limit you to one tablespoon worth of Hoisin sauce and a tea spoon of siriacha when you need something to add flavor. The coconut shrimp was pretty good hence the 2 stars. Service was slow as well.
Minh Tuyet's is one of my favourite places to eat in Revy. Consistently great food and friendly staff - my wife and I often find ourselves eating there more than once in a given week. With dutifully sourced premium and ethical/organic ingredients like 63 acres naturally raised beef! and everything made from scratch, they're pricier than your average big-city pho place, but where else can you find first-rate pho in a tiny mountain town? Pro tip: Look out for specials nights; they serve some of the best steaks in Revelstoke
I expected a more flavourful pho broth but you could tell the ingredients used were of higher quality than typically found in pho. Delicious regardless, as well as the spring rolls and beef in betel leaf wrap appies. Excellent decor and location.
We eat at Mings at least once a week....and sometimes more than that. We LOVE their Beef Carpaccio Pho Noodle Soup. The broth is made from scratch like most of their dishes and we are happy knowing the beef is free-range grass-fed... No factory farmed beef here! Keep up the good work Mings! Revelstoke locals appreciate the effort :
This is a must stop on your travels through Revelstoke. Ditch the highway franchises and get some awesome and fresh food. Friendly service, great setting and really good food. Also, coffee is 10 times better than the highway gut rot. Definitely stoping here again.
The vermicelli was not good. It had no flavor and was under cooked. Our friend had the Pho and said it was excellent. Sadly the Papaya Salad was also lacking any flavor.
