Don't be fooled by what it looks like from the outside....not much. It's very nice inside. Not very big - 13 tables of 2 plus the patio outside. Family owned. Staff are very friendly and attentive. It was packed when I went and everyone enjoyed their food and let the staff know. We had shrimp pad Thai, chicken pad Thai, spring rolls and rare beef pho. All were excellent - very tasty, good quality, served hot. All portions were a good size - above avg. Prices were great for the quality received. High quality, well priced. Highly recommended. Will go back when in the area. They don't accept credit cards.
This place looked very playful and not serious at first glance. I decided to go inside and check it before bringing my whole family there we have 4 kids. Inside it looks very neat and nice, freshly renovated, comfortable and very clean. I've been to the washroom and it's very clean too. We decided to make a stop at this place and have lunch there. Staff was extremely polite, helpful and accommodating. Everything was tasty and super big by size soup bowls were so big that you can easily share between 2-3 members of the family. What I like even more is that they have their own garden outside on patio. They grow their own herbs. We really liked the place. Will definitely recommend this spot to others.
Minh's is a must go for anyone who has sudden cravings for authentic Vietnamese cuisine like my partner and I did during our recent trip to Collingwood. This urban and trendy spot seemed so out of place surrounded by its business strip plazas, grocery box stores, and permanently closed buffet neighbours. Our server was incredible friendly and observant. My mild complaint was the spring rolls, which at $8 per pair, was quite pricey. However, the pho $18-19 was appropriate for the town, tasty, and portion size was filling. The atmosphere was very pleasant and you felt like you had been transported to a different place as soon as you stepped into the restaurant.
We had lunch in their patio on a weekday afternoon and it was nice. The place appears clean and the staffs are polite. The owner brought out our food, he’s very proud of his business and claims that they have the best recipes of pho and their signature lemongrass pork chop broken rice dish. I like everything we ordered except the price is on the high end. Not sure if this is the standard in Collingwood but I think it’s a little expensive!
My family went to Minh’s for dinner today, I was surprised how great the food tastes, I have to say that we haven’t had such good food for a long time, it was way better than some of the Vietnamese restaurants that we went to in Toronto. The food here were tasty, authentic and fresh, and the owner was very friendly. Great job
The hospitality here is unparalleled. The spring rolls are the perfect size, 2x bigger than the average roll, crisped to perfection and the filling is delicious. The rare beef pho took me back to high school when I tried pho for the first time. The flavour profile and aroma of the broth are just incredible. Some reviews have mentioned the food is pricey but I would have to disagree. The serving of entrée we received will last 3 meals for each of us. Would highly recommend! Thank you very much Minh for the delightful food and being so kind!
Authentic Vietnamese food, even better than some GTA restaurants. The rice dish is very flavourful and takes me right back to Vietnam. The Viet coffee is easily the best I’ve had in Canada. The owner is extremely friendly and kind. I’d love to come back again whenever we visit Collingwood.
I strongly recommend this restaurant. -Food is delicious -Prices are reasonable -The place is so beautiful and clean. -The owner is friendly. He was very warm and recommended us different places to meet in the city.
Delicious authentic food. We had spring rolls, wonton soup and pad Thai. Everything was top notch and amazing portion sizes!
Authentic Vietnamese restaurant super close to Blue Mountain. I would choose this any day over other the restaurants in the village. The menu is short and sweet and I ordered the Pho Dac Biet without a second thought. Usually I order some spring rolls or small appetizers but the noodles itself were $20, so I figured I'd chill on the additions. The taste was extremely good and comparable to the best Pho I've eaten in Ontario. I do like to drench my soup with Siracha so I may not be the best judge of that. There was a decent amount of meat and the bean sprouts provided were fresh and clean. For taste, I'd give it 5 stars. I've docked a star based on the value itself - Pho is not an expensive meal. I've had extremely good pho for $10. I understand that the Blue Mountain area is more expensive but not by that much, especially on a dish where the biggest investment is the time it takes to create the soup. $20 for a medium size of pho is pretty pricey. I say medium because realistically it's a medium, on the menu it says it's a one-size Large only, but normally I can barely finish half a large. I ate the whole thing plus most of the soup at Minh's. It is definitely not a large size and should not be advertised as such. Or, they can simply add more noodles, which I understand would not cost a lot and at least give the visual of a fuller bowl. Overall this is an authentic restaurant with great flavors but don't expect the size or prices that you get with other Viet restaurants further from Blue Mountain or in the GTA area.
