This was my first trip to Shawville only because of the need to go to the hospital for a visit. It looks like a nice quaint little town. Because of all the snow on the ground I wasn’t able to appreciate it in full. I’m sure in the summer time it will be a different story. This little park looks very nice and I can see the potential of it to be a nice spot to hang out. I look forward to seeing it in the summer.
Great place to stay while bikepacking.nThere is water and power stations . And you don’t need to book if you going to just tent camping.nIt was quite safe. But mosquitos are brutal. Take something against.nnThere is also small river which near that cooking your food would be great if you have stove and stuff.nnFor a shadow, go far left
Nice little park for a rest or to spend quiet time. There was a nice little creek with a bridge, a play park for kids and washrooms. Seems like there might be free hydro and water hookups for travel trailers. Not certain if there is a cost or reservation needed. Didn't see signage regarding payment except for donation bucket. Well worth a stop if your traveling.
Beautiful park. Ljts of games for the kids Lots of covered picnic tables. What impressed me the most was the neatness of the restrooms.
Beautiful park! Nice splash pad, lots of structures for the kids to play on, a stream runs along the edge of the park away from the play area. The grass and plants are very well maintained. Picnic tables and RV parking are available.
