Love it. Nice courteous staff. Great atmosphere and the food is good which could explain the nice lunch time crowd. Not sure how long they’ve been open but well worth the time I took to stop in. I had the bistro salad with a mango dressing that was really good. Spicy but good!
This will be my first ever review. And I have to say, just by ordering one item, I know I'll be coming back here. Although the rice could be done a little bit better, the food is just wonderful. Unlike other places where their meats will be overpriced, and end up being dry, this place is not only fairly cheap, but the meat is nice and juicy. The chicken isn't overly seasoned, and it was just a wonderful experience. It gives off a relaxing environment. And although it's next to Swiss chalet, and other food places, I'll definitely go here over any other place.
For a first time visitor the ONLY reason I didn't give 5 stars is because we had wings and shrimp. Although its hard to mess this up, this restaurant has a high quality of food, I can tell. Shrimp is fresh and cooked to crispy perfection, as well as the wings. I will return to this friendly and clean environment to try more menu items.....and I'm sure I'll be back here to give 5 stars! Owner is helpful and friendly. The place is clean and fresh. Spacious and open with lots of light. A delightful first experience. Thanks!
Keeping in mind that the food here is a bit "fusiony", in my opinion, but doesn't hide it. The jerk chicken was flavourful, delicious and moist; not quite full heat, but full flaviur. The fried chicken from here is my wife's favourite: crispy outside, moist inside. The doubles was delicious Jamaican doubles? But fantastic!. The people are great! And they care about the food! Go to Mikey's!
We tried the signature chicken with rice and peas and veggies. Taste was FANTASTIC! 2 pieces of thighs rather than leg. Some places the spice is all in the skin but not here. was flavorful throughout. rice was moist. Very helpful owner. Clean and cool vibe. Will return for sure!
Was very pleased to see a modern, more 'upscale' feel to a Caribbean restaurant! Mikey is very friendly and has a clear passion for his work which was exhibited thru the quality of food and upkeep of the restaurant. Had the jerk chicken, salmon dinner and basket of shrimp. The food was great! Would definitely be recommending it and coming back! One thing that stood out to me was how tasty the rice was -- I find rice and peas bland usually, but this rice I can even eat alone it was so good!
Great portions, amazing food and high quality service! If you’re looking for mouth watering Caribbean food in Brampton, Mikey’s is a must try! “Mikey’s Jerk Chicken Basket” was amazin!
I have been to Mikey's Bistro three times over the last couple months and have ONLY AWESOME things to say. GREAT FOOD and I have been there with a large group of 10 work colleagues and everyone was happy with what they ordered Home burger, Veggie Burger, Roti, Jerk Chicken. I would like to give a special mention to the ONION rings and wedges, so good!! Crispy but not greasy and sooo delicious! I normally do not like to recommend restaurants because people are often picky and have different expectations but I have been thanked many times for introducing people to this great establishment. the service is quick, I can always manage to get there and back over my lunch hour without eating too quickly. I have a particular fondness for Mikey and Debbie who both are super friendly and provide the best food and service possible. Thank you so much!!
This place is amazing. I googled where to eat today and found this place one of the highest rated near me and I’m so glad I tried it out. I tried the Crispy teriyaki shrimp and my friend tried the vegan roti option and we both loved it! The servers and owner are very friendly and I will be back for sure! Spread the word, it’s a bit hidden! So delicious! ;
I’ve eaten at this bistro several times, the food and service is impeccable! Mikey’s bistro is a very hospitable dining place. Being a self proclaimed foodie, I’ve dined at many family and privately owned restaurants over the years and not many are able to create the type of atmosphere that this restaurant has. It’s not just about the food which is delicious, it’s about the chef behind it. I highly recommend stopping by and paying a visit!
