Started training at Mike Miles beginning of 2016. Been training 4 years and I can say I lost about 60 lbs. Very good selection of Classes and times for your schedule. The Instructors very knowledgeable and help you to get better as a fighter. Sparring classes is awesome. Very light sparring, they work with you at your level. Highly recommend Mike Miles for training Muay Thai in Calgary. Awesome place to train.
Mike Miles Muay Thai & Kickboxing is a place most people involved with kickboxing have heard of and for good reason. Ajarn Mike Miles has the knowledge of martial arts and the ability to teach the proper techniques in a way the other gyms just aren’t able to offer. I started with the gym in the early to mid 90’s when I was a teen. Not as many females in the sport back then as you see now but I loved it. Over the years, I have tried other gyms due to moving, see what others offer, etc but I returned, this time with my 11 year old daughter, to Mike Miles in 2018 and have never regretted it. He has too much valuable information about the sport and whether you take it competitively or just recreational, you will benefit. The prices are good, the workouts are good, the staff are awesome and classes vary to accommodate all sorts of schedules, etc.
My kids and I have been members at Mike Miles for over a year and it has been great for us all! The kids have a great time whenever they step in the gym and their balance, strength, and focus have come a long way in a short time. From my end, my only regret is not starting years ago. If you’ve ever driven by and wondered what Muay Thai is, come in and try it out!
Mike Miles Muay Thai has been my second home for six + years now. I love this place, I love the people, I love the high level instruction, and the variety of classes available.
