Mid-Hudson Oral and Maxillofacial Practice, PC (Dr. Matthew Hilmi)

Dr. Hilmi has extracted three of my wisdom teeth over the course of 14 years. I always joke with him that I don't let anyone rip my teeth out but him, haha! But, it's true :) Like many of you reading this, by the time I land in his office I'm in a great deal of pain. He takes the pain away! He is a wonderful oral surgeon, skilled & precise, yet also a kind and compassionate doctor, very personable. You never feel rushed there, he takes the time to answer your questions and calm your worries. All 3 of my oral surgeries were as pleasant as oral surgery could possibly go.His staff is wonderful and obliging and I just couldn't be happier with my experiences in their care. Thank you Dr.Hilmi! I recommend him highly to anyone in need of an oral surgeon.

I came across Dr. Hilmi by luck this past Saturday, September 8th 2017. I developed a tooth ache from a broken tooth and needed to have it extracted. I could not find one Dr available in Eastern Dutchess County or Poughkeepsie/Fishkill area for an emergency extraction . When I called Dr. Himli's office he actually answered the phone and I asked if he had an emergency appointment available today. His response was I am actually just doing paper work in the office today but I do not want you in pain so come see me and I will help comfort you with Medication and see whats going on. The drive was 1 hour 15 minutes from my house to go to Kingston and I am so glad I made that choice. Dr Hilmi not only Prescribed antibiotics and pain medicine but booked me first thing Monday Morning to extract the tooth. Dr, Hilmi went above and beyond on his day of just doing paperwork to help me. He did not charge for an emergency office visit as well! You don't hear of Dr.s doing this. I cannot express how patient and sincere Dr Hilmi is to patients. Today , Monday September 11th 2017 i had the tooth extracted with no complications at all. I even went to work with very little discomfort. His office is spotless, and decorated with unique antiques, even a fish. tank. I am so glad I found an amazing Oral Surgeon. When in need of oral surgery do try Mid Hudson Oral and Maxillofacial Practice . You will definitely love it, I surely did. Randy Benson Dover Plains NY

I was vacationing in the area and was experiencing a great deal of pain and discomfort from a partial root canal that was abandoned and needed to be fully extracted. Not only did his assistant Nicole get me an appt and into his office right away, Dr. Hilmi's care was compassionate and gentle. Which goes a long way for someone like me who is TERRIFIED of any and all dental procedures. He also did not shame me in any way like my usual dentist does. He was understanding and never made me feel like a fool for letting the situation get to the point it had. The extraction went perfectly and he had me on my way in less than an hour. He also called me unprompted two days after the procedure to check on me which was greatly appreciated. Several days later I started experiencing pain from other teeth and was worried something was going awry with my healing. Again, Dr Hilmi was able to see me right away and assess the situation. We couldn't figure out the source of the pain but he gave me several recommendations to try and figure it out. He suggested I get a teeth cleaning from my usual dentist and today that is what I did and can already feel some of the pain alleviating. He saved me from another week of unimaginable pain and I am forever indebted. I hope this review can help anyone on the fence about picking a new oral surgeon. You won't regret it with Dr. Hilmi.

Very skilled, friendly and knowledgeable doctor. I went to him for a dental implant which I was quite nervous about having done - he did a great job at keeping things calm, steady and as pain-free as could be asked. I've been back to him a number of times for follow-up appointments and am very happy I came to Dr. Hilmi. I would highly recommend him.

As a cancer survivor, I had special considerations for a tooth extraction. I am so thankful that I was referred to Dr Hilmi by my wonderful dentist, Dr. Hottum (also of Kingston.) Dr. Hilmi is a skilled oral surgeon- caring and detail oriented. He explained the procedure and assured me that it would go well. He has a calm manner and his kindness and concern are amazing. Phone calls are answered promptly and his staff is professional and pleasant. I highly recommend him.
