Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Mankato

Checked in on a Friday and checked out sat.. Price was too high ($130) because a college function was going on. They jack their prices during special functions, which turned me off(It's Mankato, mn. for God's sake). The worst part was I forgot my $700 glasses and requested they mail them too me. They assured me it was as good as done, but I never got them and they couldn't give me a tracking number. They would knee jerk tell me things to placate me. After 2 weeks of nothing I assumed they were buying time because they had lost them or other. I opened case with corporate and it is now under investigation. I will never stay in one of their places again and will counsel others to steer clear or risk no security under their roof. VERY dishonest and irresponsible

The price was right and the room was clean. Soon we noticed this room had 5 Japanese Beetles and 6 gnats or fruit fly like insects flying around. We got rid of them but I could not sleep. I finally left the bathroom light on so the bugs would go in there. I brought this up to the blue/green haired lady at the front desk. I asked if they exterminate and she said, "We've never had to because we don't have insect issues." We will not be staying there again.

Friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Very roomy suite. I did not have time for breakfast nor did I use their other amenities to comment

Nice clean rooms, air conditioning worked well, very decent prices...about the only thing to complain about was the breakfast. I stayed there two nights and both mornings they really only had half the food out, whomever was in charge of the food wasn't being very diligent. Could have just been the one employee though...still stinks not having milk for your cereal and water for your orange juice. 😄

Clean room. No fridge or microwave and not many outlets or counter space. Location is good though
