Placed an order online, showed up and it what canceled, told me to wait 30 mins for it to be corrected and charged my credit card 2 times. Staff was rude, and the food was hot garbage...but yeah
Spacious, great, bright, clean. The staff were awesome and welcoming. The drink menu has lots of fun drinks. The food was wonderful and they are generous with the chips! TV's at the bar.Food: 5/5

I ordered a burrito bowl. It was underwhelming. A little bit of tiny chicken strips, little to know lettuce, and most of all cold. I picked it up 10 minutes before estimated pickup time. Asked for extra guacamole and sour cream, received 4 salsas. Burrito was okay, better than the bowl.
This is my local tex mex place. In New England, so often the tex mex is underspiced or made with canned salsa or guac. I have NEVER had that happen at Mexicali. They are a small, regional chain of several restaurants. The chain is small enough for the employees to be consistent and they seem very proud of the restaurant and the food they serve. They aren't fancy and don't need to be. This is a great go-to local place when you get a craving for tasty food with just a touch of heat. The frequent customer membership is absolutely worth it and I am a third year member. I hope you visit too!
Love this place. Hubby and I go, it's our go to place for Mexican. Why? Bueno people, bueno food and bueno atmosphere. Treated so well here. Love the very young man. He is so kind with a smile bringing chips n salsa. Sophie and EdFood: 5/5
Service was excellent, got seated right away. Restaurant was clean as a whistle, well decorated in Mexican culture. Food and beverages came straight away. Prices were very reasonable, all told a great time.Food: 5/5
I don't have too many favorite restaurants, but this one is one of them. The food is great, staff are very friendly and welcoming. It is very spacious and colorful with great design. It's also very clean. Prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend this restaurant.
We go here fairly regularly. My go to items are the chicken tortilla soup and the mini pork chimichangas. They consistently prepare these items very well. Service from the friendly staff is always excellent, as are the Palomas. Recently I decided to try the Veggie Fiesta, which I ate, but did not enjoy. The rice had no flavor at all. The enchiladas were also bland, except for the sauce which was just sour. Bland or sour, nothing else. Hot sauce couldn't save this dish either. It was so disappointing that I don't think I'll order anything from the vegetarian section of the menu from here again. Vegetarian options: Yes, but not flavorful in my experience. Kid-friendliness: Very kid/family friendly. Parking: Large number of parking spots available. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible
Best food I've had in a long time! Great staff, beautiful atmosphere, well stocked bar. Nothing more you could ask for. Prices were pretty great too. I'd highly recommend going. The free salsa and chips is even good. Not one bad thing to say!!
