The store is always clean, easy to navigate and I love the veggie sushi roll. Every time I go the cashiers are bunched in groups not very attentive to the customers. I checked out and there were 3 employees at the registers talking to each other. The cashier never told me my total. I just tapped my card and left. The 3 stars are for cleanliness and sushi.
Needs new management/ floor supervisors. During the busiest time of day plan to wait 30 min in line and get no help. 1 lane/checkout register is open with a physical person. The rest is self check out. Half the bags are missing in the self check out registers. Several self check out registers blinking and no manger in sight to help you need manger code to continue scanning items. When she finally arrived she was walking without a care in the world until you ask for help. I understand being busy but when 4 workers are standing around talking I feel like management needs to open another register or Atleast tell the workers standing around to replace the bags to keep the line moving. Lot of kids working so I understand they are probably getting paid bad so as a result they work bad.Maybe give them a raise and fire whoever doesn’t improve in productivity. Most products are fresh. Lot of variety/options. All the red onions are rotten/ soft. All the shopping carts and hand baskets are either by the register or outside by the parking lots so you will need to grab one on the way in
The carts are old but the store is kept updated. Customer service is open, fresh fruits veggies bakery and meats are all fresh and good looking. I even asked the fish monger if they scale the salmon They don't at metro market 2 blocks south? He said yes. I'll find out when I cook dinner tonight.
Gilbert, who ran the self checkout this morning, was SO SWEET and HELPFUL. I wanted a flower arrangement to give to my Mom today, but there was no florist available. He proceeded to ask me what it was I wanted, and grabbed a brown paper holder for my flowers and told me that Moms are important I MISS THIS KIND OF CUSTOMER SERVICE. He deserves a raise!!! Thanks Gilbert!!!
Great place for daily groceries! They have everything I need, even imported Spanish cheese. The new carts are awesome: super quiet and light and all the wheels work!
While it’s your typical Metro Market as far as selection, this store often has empty spots on the shelves, and as other have mentioned the employees are more interested in socializing with each other than helping customers. Long lines at registers even at quieter times of day. Unfortunately it’s the closest place to me.
I stood in line at customer service waiting patiently for the person in front of me to finish. The person in front of me was an employee of the store redeeming lotto tickets so it took about five minutes. After the cashier finished with the employee in front of me she took the key out of the register and said she had to go to the back. She walked slow....very slow. I waited another ten minutes for her return and to hear her tell her co-worker she could not help me and the co-worker had to ring up my purchase.
Metro Market is supposed to be a high-end, customer-focused Kroger brand store, but the one in downtown Milwaukee is not. No carts were available and customers had to scour the parking lots for them, even after informing customer service staff, who had no interest in helping. I waited 15 minutes along with others, including folks with disabilities, and eventually went out in the snow to retrieve a cart. Even after I finished shopping, there were no carts to be had. Either assign staff which there were enough to collect carts or buy more to take of your customers.
Nice staff .. clean .. attractive meat display . Great prices . Seafood is always so good fresh . A lot of areas of the store are very well stocked meat department , dairy , farmstand Bathrooms are horrible though not to sure if this is just and overall lack of pick and save . But besides that I love this place !
Go to pick and save on Garfield it's still Kroger but ! No checkers No baggers ! 8:30 am ??? Left my groceries on the BELT then walked out I went to Sendiks Great prices on meat ! Checkers / baggers a Very pleasant experience ! Try Whole foods or other Choices
