An average grocery store with an above average produce section. In store made salads are not as good as they once were, even at double the cost.nnThey did carry a better selection of gluten free products, but there is a continued decline in options carried.nnClean store that is always well organized. Staff is generally friendly. Always an abundance of parking thanks to the connected mall not offering much.
Best place to buy meat at reasonable prices. If you enjoy a good steak or roast beef dinner, then you know you get what you pay for. The meat department always has something on sale, and they have your choice of the type of cut of meat you want. For veal lovers, the Metro has this, too. I have found that the meat and prices compete with No Frills and Freshco. The meat is much better than what you would get from the cheaper grocery stores. I recommend getting meat from Metro, we haven't been disappointed yet, and we only buy our meat from here unless we want to get a specific size of steak or roast beef from the butcher.
Close and convenient but can you pull the produce and veggies that have gone bad? There is no point charging full price for food that is visibly rotting, shrivelled tomatoes etc.
OK grocery store, but would not be my first choice in the area. Selection is limited for some items and the in store bakery section is not nearly as good quality as other stores in the area e.g., this store used margarine to make cake icing instead of butter.
I went to Metro two days ago and I had my dog with me and my husband and I asked my husband if there were any dogs allowed so my husband went to the front of the door of Metro and there were no signs anywhere posted so we brought my puppy in no one said anything to me until after. So I went around the store did my shopping and when I went to go to self serve cash out the scanners were giving me issues there was a worker there that must had passed me about 4 or 5 times and didn't ask if I needed help I didn't even notice him going pass me until my husband told me after words. Anyway im in the wheel cart cause I suffer from back problems and he was just standing there and helping other customers not even making contact in my direction. So I called him over and I told him that he should have gone to each person and asked if they needed help. I also said that since Metro is considered a high end food store I would have expected the workers to go over and beyond to make sure there experience is a good one, then he gave me attitude and I told him to give me attitude and then he got his manager his manager saw my dog and didn't do anything or say anything and I told the manager what happened she didn't even apologized or anything I just gave up and just said forget it it's ok. And I left. Then i realized I had to go back and return something and I just decided to walk back because it's only going to take two min so when I got to the register the lady saw my dog and didn't say anything until I left the store and she said in a rude attitude behaviour there isn't any dogs allowed in the store unless it's a service dog. And I told her that there were no signs saying that there were no dogs allowed in the store and while I was talking to her there must have been two other dogs in the store and she didn't say anything to them. So I said to her if there are no dogs allowed when I came in the first time u didn't say anything. And even the sec time u didn't stop me at the entrance. And I just left. I have a feeling they didn't say anything to me the first time because I was on the wheel buggie chair. I will never shop there again.
