Great selection of ready to eat food available in the store, but best of all they welcome requests to their managers for RVs spending the night in their parking lot which is more than anybody is doing in Picton. Thank you very much. Metro!
Was visiting the beach for the day. Stopped at Picton Metro for some Ready to Go foods. I stopped at the deli & waited. The male employee had his back turned to me as he was preparing some salads into containers. When he turned around to weigh the container he noticed me & said one minute. What I noticed was that his dirty finger was in the salad that he was weighing. No gloves. He was using his finger inside the container with the food to carry it. When I asked for shaved meat, he put on a glove. But he put the meat directly onto the metal weigh tray without a parchment barrier.. he then aggressively handed the package over. No words from him. Only what I asked for. This was not a good experience. When handling foods people will eat, your finger should not be in the food. Yuck.
We stopped at this store on our way to the sandbanks beach to buy some snacks and drinks . It’s fairly standard compared to the other metro locations. Store is clean and well organized. It’s a great stop if you are camping around the area and want to buy something for your trip.
It's good if you're just looking to pick up a few things. It's too expensive to do all of your shopping there. They have some nice products that you can't get anywhere else.
Best place to buy food and snack before going to the beach. Fresh food, healthy option and awesome customer service
