I had a horrible experience here where, even after requesting not to alter my prescription history, the nurse insisted on canceling my medications because there were "duplicates." This canceled all of my medications and they insisted that no mistake had been made while being extremely rude and dismissive. I called my pharmacy and they confirmed that medications in my chart with active refills had been canceled. Nurse Brianne in particular was extremely rude and unhelpful, going as far to hang up on my mother when she called to help. They also ignored my auth to share with my mother despite the document being in my chart. This clinic has given me nothing but headaches and I strongly recommend avoiding it at all costs.
The staff is friendly..but that’s the only good thing about this place. i’ve been to this clinic twice within a month. The first time things went smoothly. The second time they had a lot of my information wrong info i already gave them the first time. After my second appointment i had to give them a call about making another appointment/new medication and they told me they would call me back…I never got a call back for two days. So i had to call them back myself and told me my prescription was sent over i would have NEVER known this if i didn’t call them. When i get to walgreens to pick up the medication they told me that the doctors office sent it to the wrong walgreens a walgreens 2 hours from here. After I had already updated which walgreens i prefer and after they had sent my medication to the Allendale walgreens twice in the past…make that make sense. This place is very unorganized.
Every nurse, receptionist, and healthcare provider here is so kind! Things can get really busy and they work so well under pressure, and they always greet me with a smile and get me checked in and seen quickly. I've been coming here at least once a month for the last year and a half and I have zero complaints!
The doctor and nurses I saw were great! They made me feel very welcome and comfortable and we're quickly able to diagnose my problem and get me the treatment I needed. This is a good option if you live near campus and don't want to go home to see your primary physician.
The nurses and NP/PA's are usually very nice and informative. Have always had great experiences with the actual medical professionals, however the front desk staff is always rude and cold. I've shared my experience with them with other friends and they have all agreed that the reception staff is always unfriendly. They work with students/people regularly so I'm unsure as to why they are so unnecessarily rude to students.
If I could leave 0 stars I would. I get allergy shots here every week and i’m always here wayyyy longer than I need to be. Last week, they called me and cancelled my appointment and told me I couldn't reschedule. I come in this week and Ive been waiting 40 minutes after my appointment time because they didn't prepare for my appointment. I’ve now been waiting for an hour just to get allergy shots. Such bad service.
The staff are unhelpful and cold. I tried making small talk and they just brushed me off. They swabbed my tonsils and pulled black gunk off but told me I was fine. They told me to take Tylenol even though I said multiple times that neither Tylenol or ibuprofen reduced the insane pain in my throat. Waste of money
Not even a doctor in sight, just an NP who couldn't diagnose me. Same thing happened with the last person to leave a review. They swabbed the back of my mouth before the uvula and not my tonsils and said "the spit still contains the bacteria". Very unprofessional when I told that to M.D.'s I know personally. The M.D. and NP I have at home told me to see a medical doctor instead next time. No wonder my step test came negative after 10 min BECAUSE THEY NEVER WENT NEAR MY TONSILS. I'm just glad I don't have to pay out of pocket when I came in and left with no useful information as to why I'm getting sicker.
Avoid coming to this medical center if it is at all possible. They have routinely cancelled appointments I have made with no consent or message left to me, neglected to send in important prescriptions, and the lack of communication within the office itself is apparent and a detriment to all patients. Go anywhere else if you possibly can.
Had horrible back and rib problems and after a couple days of horrible pain I decided to walk all the way across campus from the freshman dorms. I went in and the lobby was full of students. They said they don't take patients who just walk in so I said just give me you're earliest appointment the next day. The next day they call me early in the morning and tell me my appointment has been cancelled because a doctor didn't come in. I was in immense pain but I had to take an appointment 2 days after I originally came in with an EMERGENCY. I couldn't sit down or lay down. Doctor looked at my back and gave some x-rays, diagnosed me with shifting of the ribs and said take some Motrin. Found an RA with a car and they took me to a back specialist and got real help. They didn't help me at all, don't waste your time with them they need to be shut down
