Meta Lake Lodge

Spent the last week there with a friend. Cheryl and John along with Doug and Patricia were awesome and friendly. The cabins are clean and well kept and the fishing was great. I would recommend this lodge to anyone looking for a northern ontario fishing experience. Going back again in 3 weeks for a second trip before the borders open up and they get booked solid.

i was on the american plan and it was great, the fish bit constantly, the food was amazing, on the first day we had issues with our motor, we went back and they gave us another boat and fixed the faulty engine. i would recommend plenty of insect repellent as the mosquitoes were are numerous and never seem to end. the freezer in the fish house has live bait. the Wednesday fish fry was great. we had the first flight in and were there by around 6-6:30 and were able to fish the first day. they brought your bags to the cabin you were staying at but did not bring them inside showing they respect your space and it was overall great. the fish house did not have screening so the mosquitoes swarm your hands and anything that smell like fish but the overall experience is amazing. do your best to keep the mosquitoes out of your cabin in camp and motel before and after the trip if you stay there. they buzz your ears when you sleep. i recommend a full body rainsuit. you never know when the rain will start. i had an amazing time there, i know whoever else stays there will too

John and Cheryl run a great camp! It's friendly atmosphere, great food and accomodations are only the tip of the iceberg of what this lodge has to offer. It's a great place to decompress and re-energize. It has terrific fishing opportunities for the novice to the most experienced in search of trophy Northern Pike. The walleye and perch populations are healthy too! I highly recommend Meta Lake Lodge for anyone looking for a great place to vacation in Ontario.

Meta Lake Lodge was awesome. John and Cheryl and there staff of Bill, Jill, Rick, Dawn and Doug were terrific. The fishing was great and the food was fantastic. They couldn't do enough for you. Thanks for a great week.
