Merrill Park

We enjoy breakfast in the "quite park" for it does get busy with children on play equipment! Lovely walking park for early morning seniors, bike trails& boaters coming & going as well. All respectful to the park & all the little baby geese & ducks. That BIG MALE MALLARD is Big Joe, he's a loner but beautiful. you!

Merrill Park has an updated playground - the kids loved it, especially the new version of the merry-go-round. Easily accessible bathrooms, water fountains, parking right by the park, which makes the experience available to all. Gorgeous riverside picnic area, and plenty of room for roaming. Definitely bring a blanket if you plan on sitting on the grass, as there are quite a few feathered friends there as well. They add to the charm, but their "business" makes grass sitting a touch messy.

Always nice and clean not a fan of the bathroom being closed but at least they put a port a potty out there

They’ve really done nice things with this park. It’s very well maintained and close to a couple stores if you need anything. Not to mention the boat launch and it being right on the Kalamazoo river. This is a 5 star park for sure.
